“...the victim had broken into his house ...”
More like “the perp” if the story is true.
These reporters of these stories seem to go to lengths to not include pertinent facts.
“An unidentified homeowner is believed to have shot an alleged intruder, somewhere. A police department is investigating, but has released no information.”
A Christmas story with a happy ending!
The PD called it a “long gun”....?
And I guess we'll never know. Darn!
But Merry Christmas anyway.
Means a rifle or a shotgun. It's an accepted term, especially when used by a witness who could not confirm which type of weapon he saw.
"He had a gun, and it was long, coulda been a rifle, maybe a shotgun."
"So he had a long gun?"
"Yep."
Yes, but this was a PD representative reporting after the fact, so he/she should have known by then.
The victim? Why not call it CORRECTLY- THE THUG!
Don’t Christmas shop at someone else’s house.
