Former CIA Director James Woolsey had harsh words Tuesday for anyone thinking about giving Edward Snowden amnesty, and argued the NSA leaker should be hanged if hes ever tried and convicted of treason.
Woolsey, along with former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Hugh Shelton, spoke Tuesday in Washington in an interview with Fox News.
I think giving him amnesty is idiotic, Woolsey said. He should be prosecuted for treason. If convicted by a jury of his peers, he should be hanged by his neck until he is dead."

Good question. I think we all know the answer.

It did not have recorded conversations or the text of emails, although the FBI could obtain warrants and subpoenas based on NSA data.
Most people only have three major “privacy” issues in their lives.
Money, health, and romance (real and imagined).
I don't care who knows about those things in my life.
Money - I'm lower middle class, mainly because I was a day trader and went bust in penny stocks after the 9-11 catastrophe.
Health - Lifelong runner with Atrial Fib, thinning hair, and 4 skin cancers after growing up in south Florida.
Romance - At age 63, more imaginary than real.
I also don't care who knows where I am, so I don't care about surveillance cameras, either.
I care a little bit about my political privacy, since I'm a Conservative, and I don't want harassing emails, phone calls, or letters.
But, bottom line, if you are a law abiding citizen, almost no one in the world cares about what you do or what you think.
You consider Russia a “Capitalist” Nation even after Putin has disbanded the media?
what info has Snowden revealed...
that was not already widely suspected.?
Secretary of State? The hell you say.
Arnold was Washingtons finest battle commander, but he was very-much disliked by lousy generals and politicians. Arnold was therefor financially screwed by Congress in that they wouldnt cover his personal financial battle expenses; his records went down with his ship in his victorious battle at Valcour Bay... and (like Sarah Palin today) Arnold wasnt liked by "professional" politicians. If it were not for Arnolds actions during the Revolutionary war, America would have very-very likely lost that war.
George Washington was Arnolds protection; but Washington couldnt hold Congress off Arnolds case ... so Arnold was broke and he left town ... after hed won the war for America.
Not only look in the mirror-—but look in the White House and Congress.

zee, tell your story to someone
involved in a divorce dispute,
and ask what they think.
Arnold’s history is a rough one. He did turncoat at a point by giving up knowledge of our War College but I would never compare Snowden to that.
Snowden shall be used like a pawn. We are getting to a point that ALL communication is known. As Americans we will feel the effect.
Benedict Arnold.... thanks. Never knew that about him.
Capitalism has nothing at all to do with freedom, it is simply an economic system and has been embraced by both the Russians and the Chinese. The US on the other hand has become far more socialist than either of those two countries are at this point. Kind of weird really, those that were behind the iron curtain are now more like we used to be and we have become more like they used to be.
Hanged, really? What about Jane Fonda?
You are sadly mistaken. There are no rules of government in China or Russia that is driven by the folks. Get Real
Well, Snowden has given aid and comfort to the American People at great risk to himself. So, if USG == The United States, then, by definition, you are right! LOL!
I would like for you to ask yourself why so many flocked to an America without Government?
“what info has Snowden revealed...
that was not already widely suspected.?”
Oh probably all the nifty code words but not much else. All the countries do this stuff and they all know pretty much what the other guys are doing. There’s a reason that the pentagon doesn’t use Chinese routers for their networks and I would imagine that the same is true for most of the first world nations (third world nations really don’t have much of a choice).
The real damage Snowden did was not so much revealing secret spying methods but revealing just how good we were at it. The damage will be huge economically and you are already seeing it. Cisco sales have tanked world wide, Boeing lost an F-16 fighter contract in Brazil, the list goes on. I would imagine that every nation out there is making plans to move away from American products. The loss will be possibly in the trillions of dollars by the time all is said and done.
Contemplating the intelligence behind Woosley’s public remarks.
The alarming takeaway on this affair are the Congressional crickets. Aside from the kabuki BS, nothing.
Sadly you don’t know what you’re talking about. Would suggest that you go over there and see for yourself. Or not because you still don’t seem to be able to separate government from economics so would suggest that you study up on the two as they are vastly different, although interconnected in some significant ways.
Cisco is busting ass and Boeing just made a record deal With Cathay Pacific.
Try again.
