Terry Bradshaw made filthy rich from gate receipts of football games paid for by little people and Jay Leno made filthy rich from advertisers who sell to little people discussing the words of Phil Robertson who was made filthy rich from advertisers paid for by little people? And I am to care about what these three people say for what reason????
None of them affect my life.....
I don’t hate the filthy rich, I try to become one of them.
Damn rich people! Time for some redistribution!
Then, go play in a different sandbox.
You’re either in a very bad mood this Christmas or on the wrong website. Or both.
By your own reasoning these three filthy rich people touched the hearts of many little people. They have done more then I can ever dream
I’m a wannabe filthy rich. Don’t hate me...
Do you suffer from money envy?
Then get off your butt and EARN the money these people have.
Income envy is a terrible way to go through life.
Whoa...panties in a twist are they?
“Terry Bradshaw made filthy rich from gate receipts of football games paid for by little people and Jay Leno made filthy rich from advertisers who sell to little people discussing the words of Phil Robertson who was made filthy rich from advertisers paid for by little people?”
Little people? Each of these people were “little people” once. They refused to stay little. Can’t say the same for those who are as little of heart and spirit that they could make such an ignorant statement. Bah humbug.
Tjust took a few moments of your life, didn't they?
Terry Bradshaw turned his Talent into a successful career.
He didn’t start out “Filthy Rich”, whatever that means.
Jay Leno, like him or not, same thing. He used to sleep in his Car because he had no money when he worked Comedy Clubs when he started out.
Phil Robertson, was raised dirt poor. He picked Cotton as a child. He managed to get into College and earn a Masters Degree. Afterwards, he fell into the abyss of Drugs, Alcohol and as his Wife said, he wasn’t a very nice Man.
He managed to pull himself up, and he designed a new type of Duck Call. He started his Business in a Backyard Shed.
He was “Filthy Rich” long before Duck Dynasty came along, yet he still lives a very normal lifestyle. He and his Wife live in the same House that they raised their Children in when times weren’t so good for them.
Damn those Filthy Rich, they don’t suffer like the rest of us Peons do. We were Hoping Mr. Hopey Changey would punish them, but he let us down. Boo Friggin Hoo.
DU and Daily Kos are just a few left clicks away.
Congratulations on your success. You turned a thread about Bradshaw and Robinson into one about yourself.
So many things are off based in your post and you're justifiably getting slammed by true Conservatives.
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is filthy about getting rich? And what government agency forced the "little people" to involuntarily pay those gate receipts to enjoy Terry Bradshaw play at Three Rivers? And what's wrong in your world of dialectical materialism with a fine Christian such as Phil Robertson making a ton of money by dint of hard work, innovation and creativity.
You've been here a long time and I just a few years but your remarks, if they weren't made in jest, are unworthy of Free (Enterprise) Republic.
I invite you not watch or pay any attention to them at all including posting in threads like this.
“None of them affect my life.”
Sure they do. If not for the rich, your taxes would be extremely high.
I find these displays of opinion irrelevant for different reasons.
The “little people” voluntarily made these men wealthy because the “little people” demanded it.
Jeeze....what a grump!
FWIW, I ran into Brashaw at the safeway in Kona. We made small talk about the huge amount of food he was buying (suspected who he was even with a ball cap on) and with questions about feeding a football team.
The guy could not have been more down to earth, with no apologies about where his house up on the Kohala coat was ($$$).
When checkout time came, checker asked if he had a Safeway card for discounts. He said yes, but was obviously embarrassed to whip out his ID in public. Another in line used her card to apply the discount and he was deeply thankful for the gesture.
"Celebrities" would have just blown it off, accepted the extra $$ or ignored the generous woman's help. Bradshaw was a totally normal guy, Hall of Fame or not.
What an ignorant comment.
Phil Robertson built a multi-million dollar company from the ground up, with his bare hands and a Christian work ethic. It's why the A&E television network wanted to make a reality show about him and his family in the first place.
Terry Bradshaw and Jay Leno busted their humps to make their fortunes too.
