It might be a good idea for people in the lower Mississippi Valley to keep an eye on the weather. The upper air wind forecasts suggests the storms will be fast, moving in a generally NE direction at over sixty mph, probably obscured by rain and nightfall.
Hopefully it will be a bust, but it's important not to be caught off guard in case something does happen.

Looking on NOAA website radar, ‘my zip code’, yup, it do cometh!
Everybody, I hope you get to hunker with your’s, grab some comfort food, check your emergency supplies, and stay dry, warm, and safe!

Much rain on frozen tundra here in Indiana and much more to come. It took me 35 years but I finally got a house on TOP of the hill.

There’s already tornado watches from SE Texas to the West Tennessee-Kentucky border.

South Louisiana, close to the coast, winds 20, gusting to 30mph+ out of the south, temp in the 80's, very high humidity.
Mess fixing to come in from the west.
Probably will get pretty mean north Louisiana and above by the looks of it.

I am hoping that all that nasty weather does not slip much further eastward. I don’t need it hitting here in East Central Miss tonight!

Thanks, that’s a much quicker way to get the warning info than the NOAA warning map.

The timing as to when it's going to start *hauling* northward is what I'm watching closely on radar.
The air is loaded with moisture.
Conditions are really ripe.

Not a good day to travel.
The latest mesoscale discussion from the SPC seems hopeful that the storms may turn into a linear squall line event which would be much better than isolated supercells forming in the presence of the strong winds aloft.

We’ve got an ice storm warning here in southern Michigan.

Those are always the worst. Power lines and tree damage. Hopefully it doesn’t happen.

Now they're saying there's a sixty percent chance of a watch issuance for Western Kentucky and extreme Southern Indiana.
To: Ken522
It’s the usual Southwest to Northeast track.
I’d say you are good till Spring.
To: Ken522
Right now they have only the Florida panhandle for a slight risk for Sunday. Nothing yet concerning any problems for this evening and nothing at all concerning the rest of the state.

I want it to hitch a ride on The city of New Orleans headed north at a Fast pace!
