SEATTLE (AP) Students at a Seattle-area Catholic school are gaining national attention for their protest over the forced departure of a gay vice principal.
An online petition started by the senior class president of Eastside Catholic was the third fastest growing U.S. petition on change.org Friday, attracting around 15,000 signatures in one day.
The petition was launched after Vice Principal Mark Zmuda resigned under pressure from school administrators after they learned he had married his same-sex partner.
Bradley Strode said the students want to effect change within the wider Catholic Church, with an ultimate goal of altering the Catholic Church's stance on gay marriage.

Try imagining that headline 30 years ago.
They just cannot stand that some people disagree with them, the intolerant thugs would open concentration camps foe dissenters if they could get away with it.
Thirty years ago, they would have said, take your kid, and take your money and get out.
What's that verse about a prophet in his own town ???
It's in God's hands now ...
“Try imagining that headline 30 years ago.”

Well, the Bible also said this would be one of the signs of the end as well ... God would no longer restrain sin in the world - I tend to believe that’s what we’re seeing going on before our very eyes ...
Who are the students who started this petition. They should be expelled from school. Period.
They are only 1% to 3% of the population, but they are thick in the news media (see Anderson Cooper, Rachel Maddow and Shep Smith for just three examples), Hollywood, academia, television, magazines, art, design, social work, the bureaucracy, music, Broadway and other societal pressure points way beyond their numbers in society.
See post #1 - if the Pope won’t condemn this, what should we expect the outcome to be ???

I might assume that it has always been in vogue, but it stayed in the closest. I remember that back in my school days, the 50s, A popular insult was to call someone “queer-bait”. Today, I guess one would be sent to reeducation camp for saying that.
“They are only 1% to 3% of the population”

They are apparently anxious to increase their percentage.
With it more in the open, one would think that the percentage is much higher.
Yes the Pope is on record for saying almost anything is OK as long as you’re a nice guy. (Yes I know those weren’t his exact words.)
This is Seattle, you know. A den of rabid lefties who want to save aluminum cans but throw unwanted babies in the trash. I blame the parents and the church. If that school can’t teach what the Bible says about sexual immorality any better than this, then it might as well be a secular school.
That's a great line - I'm using it (I get your point)
Good luck with that Bradley. That is really ‘settled law’ not like the laws of Obama Care.
These kids have been brainwashed by entertainment media that constantly show sympathetic gay characters.
They are taught that gay rights is the new civil rights.
We are not longer soughshing toward Gommorah. We have arrived.
Not so much ‘in vogue’ as the fact that this group never hesitates to run to the courtroom when they don’t immediately get their way. Second step is to utilize the press for free publicity in pursuit of victimhood, a prized status for now, until we stop rewarding the presumed victim so very quickly. Assigning a burden of proof on the defendant is at times proper and prudent.
