Wait, before the National Association of Rednecked Persons attacks me, let me be clear that I don’t mean “redneck” as an insult. Indeed, Redneck Pride has been on the rise ever since Jeff Foxworthy got rich informing people they “might be a redneck.”
Redneck reality shows have been all the rage: “Rocket City Rednecks,” ‘‘Hillbilly Handfishin’ ” and, of course, “Swamp People.” But the gold standard is “Duck Dynasty,” which follows the Robertsons, a family that struck it rich selling duck calls. It’s like a real-life version of “The Beverly Hillbillies.” All of the men look like they stepped out of the Hatfield-McCoy conflict to smoke a corncob pipe.
What all of these reality shows have in common is their shock value. And guess what? Sometimes the shock is manufactured. If the cameras weren’t on, the silicone life forms on the various “Real Housewives” shows probably wouldn’t be throwing wine in each other’s faces as much as they do.
But here’s a twist. Phil Robertson (who — shhh! — has a master’s degree from Louisiana Tech) gave an interview to GQ in which he said that, as a Christian, he has problems with homosexuality. He got a bit too detailed with his anatomical analysis. But his real sin was calling homosexuality a sin comparable with bestiality.
In response, A&E suspended him from the reality show about his own family. Which should give you a sense of how real this reality show is. If it’s about the family, some producer in New York can’t decide who’s in or out of the family. If NBC News decided it simply didn’t like the Republican Party anymore...

I think this whole thing is great. It is separating the PC idiots from the rest in a big way. 0’Reilly is making a complete fool of himself tonight. I especially liked hearing that buffoon say “no one has been a bigger defender of Judeo-Christian values than me!”
BOR and Bernie really showed their ignorance of the Bible tonight. Bernie actually said the Bible was wrong on a number of issues. With him being Jewish I understand him thinking that way. But BOR is supposed to be a good little catholic boy. He should know better.

So yes he did sort of associate homosexuality with bestiality. It was the next sin he listed after homosexuality. It was likely intentional. Many of us have asked what is next after acceptance of homosexuality - bestiality?
So I think that is the key item they are all jumping on. On can say all they want he did not directly associate the two but the inference is there ... by design. I have no problem with the association and cheer him for saying what many of us are thinking.
You’re right! I was there yesterday morning... it seemed like every other aisle has some type of DD merchandise. As I headed for the Christmas wrap, they were moving more beard and camo-laden merchandise on to the shelves, where - you guessed it - I saw a lady carrying rolls of DD wrapping paper to her cart!

Is the indignation because he put homosexuality on the same list with homosexuality or because he disapproved of bestiality? Yall know that legalized paedophilia and bestiality ARE on the agenda. That makes US State #19 to establish marriage equality. Go ahead and whine about this week's first defeat to your anti-gay agenda, anti-gays, Americans have handed you two additional defeats since then.In other words, they're not just winning. They've won. And in the name of "America," they're going to wipe the rest of us out at their earliest opportunity.And A&E? I just listened to the Bill Oreilly show. Him and his buddies Howard Kurtz and Bernie Goldberg were taking turns calling Phil Robertson’s ideas “ignorant”. Bernie and Howard were both for kicking him off the show. Bernie said there was a lot of things in the Bible including what Jesus said that was untrue. These northeast elitists are no friend of ours. Let’s stick with Phil and the “Old Time Religion” that will save us all from Hell. I dread to think where these relativistic pontificators will end up..

So is “sleeping around with this woman and that woman” worse than bestiality? Better than homosexuality? There is nothing in his statement that equates one act with the other. He is just listing off examples of sinful behavior, all sex-related in this case. The word “morph” even implies these sins are NOT equated, because morph means change. For all we know he thinks homosexuality is more sinful than bestiality...or less. You can infer either way from his statement because it’s totally ambiguous as to any “comparison” between the sins. All he says is that they’re all examples of sin.

Maybe what he meant was that those women were real dogs.
