Chris Matthews: It's Been a 'Terrible Year' for Obama

After a year of problems with headlines about Obamacare, the Benghazi bombing, NSA spying, and the IRS targeting of conservative groups, MSNBC "Hardball" host Chris Matthews said Friday it's beginning to feel like a "very long presidency" for Barack Obama.

"It feels like a very long presidency now. It feels like the seventh or eighth year of a presidency. It doesn't feel like the fifth," Matthews said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

"It's a terrible year for the president," he added. ....

"There wasn't that rejuvenation that comes with a reelection. There was no sense of 'Wow.' I think that's hurt him a lot," he said.

Matthews said previous presidents who had served two terms managed "to come back, just in terms of survival, the last year or two" of their second term. He said Obama would have to "come back with some gusto" if he is to be one of them.

No Chrissy, you ignorant Washington insider. It has been a terrible year for America. As a matter of fact it has been a terrible 6 years for America. 2008 through 2013 have been a disaster for our once great country.

Good catch. I remember that skit. It was actually pretty funny. You have hit the nail on the head. The media always reports on how any event impacts Obama. Not the people.

It’s been a terrible year for Obama? Inflation must have hit the cocaine market, too.

Yeah, I thought it was funny at the time, too,
because I thought he was making fun of self-centered people.

I didn’t know he could have been serious... :)

Chris, it’s your fault. You encouraged the pre-schoolers to play with C-4. It’s your fault!

"It's a terrible year for the president,"

Despite the best efforts of the Praetorian Media™ to protest their Chocolate Caesar.

It will be a terrible year for Obama when he and his Demonrat thugs are tried, convicted, and sentenced for treason. But that will be a year of celebration for U.S. patriots.

Obama has brought it all on himself . He should do the right thing and resign . For repeatedly LYING to the American people on countless occasions. He lied his ass off to get re-elected and we are now supposed to feel that that election still counted ? It does not . He is not the President , he is not my President . His team has corrupted everything they have touched . He needs to step down .
