We want to thank all of you for your prayers and support. The family has spent much time in prayer since learning of A&E's decision. We want you to know that first and foremost we are a family rooted in our faith in God and our belief that the Bible is His word. While some of Phils unfiltered comments to the reporter were coarse, his beliefs are grounded in the teachings of the Bible. Phil is a Godly man who follows what the Bible says are the greatest commandments: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and Love your neighbor as yourself. Phil would never incite or encourage hate.We are disappointed that Phil has been placed on hiatus for expressing his faith, which is his constitutionally protected right. We have had a successful working relationship with A&E but, as a family, we cannot imagine the show going forward without our patriarch at the helm. We are in discussions with A&E to see what that means for the future of Duck Dynasty. Again, thank you for your continued support of our family.
I went to the ChromeCast wiki, it looks like awesome technology but sadly, no channel that would hook me to it
How cool! Thanks.
Given the backlash that A&E is incurring, you might just see it happen.

You would be interested in this good news. The Sheephole aren’t as think as they dumb we are. 40% of your bill is for sports channels for teams and sports that you don’t even watch or care about.
TV Is Dying, And Here Are The Stats That Prove It
The TV business is having its worst year ever.
Audience ratings have collapsed: Aside from a brief respite during the Olympics, there has been only negative ratings growth on broadcast and cable TV since September 2011, according to Citi Research.
Media stock analysts Craig Moffett and Michael Nathanson recently noted, “The pay-TV industry has reported its worst 12-month stretch ever.” All the major TV providers lost a collective 113,000 subscribers in Q3 2013. That doesn’t sound like a huge deal but it includes internet subscribers, too.
Broadband internet was supposed to benefit from the end of cable TV, but it hasn’t.
In all, about 5 million people ended their cable and broadband subs between the beginning of 2010 and the end of this year.
I know quite a few people that have turned off cable and satellite and gone to over the air digital plus YouTube online. They are perfectly happy.
Ducks on the Blaze = fire Quackers !
PHIL ROBERTSON FOR PRESIDENT !
Cancel cable and just purchase the few shows you want to watch. That's what we did.
Wish I could cancel A&E.
A la carte cable cannot come soon enough.....this sort of nonsense will stop once they are held accountable to everyone, and not just 1% of the population.

Up until now I thought that the “bundling” of channels into packages was just find. With this A&E Robinson business, my thinking has evolved (actually it’s become clear) so that I now believe that a la carte channels is the ONLY way to go. I’m tired, VERY TIRED, of subsidizing the left. This has got to end.
If it's not prescribed by the Word of God, it's not in the church. Each congregation is autonomous since there's no manmade hierarchy. That said, I've found it to be very Conservative both in terms of theology as well as politically. The fact that the Robertsons go there tells a lot. Other members that are widely-known include Ken Starr (of the Clinton impeachment, he's become Baptist since he's Baylor's President), Texas Congressman Ted Poe, Aggie Gene Stallings, Astronaut Gus Grissom, Senator Fred Thompson, Amy Grant, Pat Sajack and on a much lighter note, Meatloaf and Wierd Al Yankovic.
On the matter of the Conservative politics, here's a thread I posted a couple years ago:
Bumper stickers and the church of Christ, travels from summer 2008.
Most of our congregations sing without instrumental accompaniment. At our church, we do have services with guns since the preacher carries as do most members. Woe unto the thug trying to make off with the collection plate! Hot lead in the head...but a graveyard is nearby for his convenience. :)
That's what I've heard about Church of Christ as well. They are highly conservative in scripture and usually politically as well.
The United Church of Christ however is a very different matter. It is more liberal and left leaning on all fronts than the Unitarians and supports such destructive orgs as Americans for the Separation of Church and State. The head of that group is Barry Lynn of United Church of Christ. I refuse to use the title of Reverend before his name.
From a theological point of view we didn't have any issues to speak of. I still don't agree with them basing their decision not to allow instruments on biblical teaching, but given our experiences at the church, I really didn't think they had any need!
As to being a primitive church, that hurch certainly encouraged that type of thinking. "Small groups" were strongly encouraged to meet in homes, much like you'd have found 1st-2nd century churches doing. I can tell you that our small group eventually became a very important part of our life.
Anyway, I'm rambling, and it isn't the point of the thread, so I'll stop now. :-)
I am a Christian who happens to attend a church of Christ. I love the singing also. My son attends a Presbyterian private school and we attend their services sometimes. The contrast in the singing is striking. I personally do not believe there is anything wrong with instruments, but the organ kind of drowns everyone out and they don’t learn the harmony.
It is? I've tried searching for it and Netflix says they don't offer streaming for it. My daughter and I were checking out some clips of DD on YouTube, before this dust-up and Si had us cracking up! After this mess, I want to see the show more than ever now. Netflix would be crazy not to pick this up.

I did find this very interesting, thanks. I am still one of those on mobile broadband due to where I live. But when I go into town, WiFi is readily available.
Don’t you need an unlimited data plan to do that?
I don’t understand what you’re saying. Are you upset because I capitalized the “C” in Church? My best friend, my sister and my BIL all go to a church that has a sign out front that says Church of Christ with big “Cs”
No...not at all. “Upset” is not a an apt way to describe it. I merely pointed out that it’s customary to use the small the ‘c’ to distinguish from the United Church of Christ. It’s not a matter of doctrine — just a tradition that many, but not all, of the congregations follow. God Bless.
“I dont have cable so I have never watched the show, but based on Phils stance that he is a Christian, its time for him to repent and stop supporting the homosexual(GLBT) loving/promoting A&E.”
I guess that means that you have no freaking clue as to what is going on?
Thanks for weighing in.
