I cannot believe that Mr. Scully would serve as Grand Marshall in good conscience. It's time to stand up or leave. The following contact info is all I have found: Vin Scully c/o Los Angeles Dodgers Dodger Stadium 1000 Elysian Park Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90012-1199

Thank you for giving me a heads up on the Rose Bowl. I’ll not watch it.

No right minded person should watch the parade or the game.

Why are they targeting the Rose Parade, to turn it into a demonstration for homosexual marriage?
Why did the Rose Parade officials agree to this? To prove how liberal they are? Were they afraid of being called homophobic, and getting the Duck Dynasty treatment if they refused to permit a homosexual marriage?
Is it to show the world that homosexual marriage is legal in California again, and that this is a legally binding marriage, not a symbolic ceremony?
What the heck???

It’s only a parade. You are free to not watch. Let Vin enjoy his moment as Marshall. He’s a sports broadcaster and one of the best.

It’s only a parade. But it’s interesting that they are taking one side of a hot button issue, the issue of homosexual marriage.
To: weeweed
C’mon! Vince probably had no ideal that the coordinators of the Rose Bowl were going to do this when they asked him to be the Grand Marshall. It’s not like he is in charged of picking every float, band and guests for the parade. It’s just a ceremonial position
To: weeweed
Well, rats. We used to love that parade, no more.
They have always refused heterosexuals this event. (Was told to me, have not been able to confirm)

Probably some people think Vince is endorsing homosexual marriage by his presence at the parade.
Alternately, some people probably think Vince should walk out in protest. I don’t know his opinion of homosexual marriage. Clearly the parade is making a political statement, but doesn’t necessarily mean he shares that opinion.
If Vince walked out in protest, then he would cause a firestorm of protest against himself. He would get the Duck Dynasty/Paula Deen treatment by the arbiters of political correctness.

Would you have the same response if they were celebrating Polygamy?
How about Bestiality?
Better yet, how about Pedophilia?
Celebrating immorality should not be tolerated.
If Vin has any morality, he will politely decline to continue being Marshall.

If you consider yourself a Christian, much less a moral person, then having principles requires accepting the responsibility of those principles. Part of accepting that responsibility means there will probably be blow-back or persecution when you hold true to your principles.
Otherwise, your principles don't mean squat.

The sponsors just lost this family from it’s ratings. We will NOT be watching that sin. I just took A&E off the menu and now this.

I haven’t watched the Rose Parade for decades; it’s boring. But I personally would not participate if I knew that a homosexual “marriage” was taking place on one of the floats.
I have no influence or say on what Mr. Scully should do. Let him enjoy it if that is his choice.
It would be shocking, but in a nice way, if enough people chose to not participate so that the parade would not take place. A silent majority thing.
