Thanks for posting! I remember watching Freepers design the full page ad and raising the $10,000 plus to publish the ad in the Washington Times.....and all that was done in one evening.

“Clinton taught them all that if you hunker down and go on offense you can survive even the worst of scandals.”
Agreed.
But Clinton had one major advantage during this period he used it fully.
The media.
They covered for him. They shielded him. They excused him.
In short, they did not properly attempt to cover the impeachment and trial. If they had, things could easily have been different.

And let us not forget the very sad outcome when the Republican leader in the Senate let him off the hook.

Hey Ben Hecks, long time.
Those were good times in Freeper land. Sadly the level of discourse here now usually falls well short of the bar set in those days, imo.

I do not recall his name, he was from the south, I’m afraid my operation leaves little holes in my memory, but he was from the south and had to step down after he made some nice remarks about Strom Thurmond when he passed.

But, it's still the best place on the web to get news, and real information.

Good to see you, rpierce! Didn’t know if you were still around. You did a lot of work on the Wash Times ad.....I remember being fascinated by the talents displayed by Freepers that night.

Trent Lott simply and correctly refused to hand the country over to Algor with a year left on SlicKKK's second term and let Algor run and probably win as an incumbent. That scenario should not be possible. Trent Lott and the Republicans did not have that power over those dems. The dems stuck with Clinton thick as thieves. It was a sad moment for the country to see how the dems behaved during the impeachment

If only trent lott hadn’t been such a corrupt and vulnerable to blackmail leader, we might have actually kicked the adulterer and chief out of office.
