A&E has placed Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson on indefinite hiatus following anti-gay remarks he made in a recent profile in GQ.
"We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson’s comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty," A&E said in a statement. "His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely."

Nothing in the article said that Phil wanted to leave.
Of course the story about Phil dissing homosexuality was true.
No where is it reported that Phil wanted to leave, that’s all a farce to distract from the real issue.
You can believe it if you wish, but it’s not a fact.

It is. Paula Deen got nuked over a comment made in an interview, too, but hers related to the way the wookie was stuffing away food on the show, during the breaks, etc.--something which didn't jive with the Mooch's whole 'eat healthy' campaign which has kids across the country not being able to go back for seconds on their school lunches...

Some guy on Fox last night was saying “we can’t have people speaking in the public square with this kind of language, it’s hate speech”. First, just wow. Second, he seriously thinks that it should be *allowed*. Without saying it, he’s basically saying that Christian philosophy shouldn’t be allowed to be heard in public. Third, the whole point of free speech is “who gets to decide?”...he’s the one labeling it as “hate”, but I’ve come to learn that hate is in the eye of the beholder, he can call it hate all he wants but it doesn’t make it so.
So the gays are free...and want to shut up all Christian thought. It seems like we’re finally “here”.

I was at my son's house last nite and we watched a Duck Dynasty episode. I don't know if it was on then or if he played it from his fancy cable recording/rewind device.
It was hilarious, the clan did a Christmas performance all dressed up in Church.
Interestingly enough, the pastor was one of the brothers! The only beardless brother.
It was fun watching it.
My sons are hunters and this son's son (my grandson) had just been duck hunting and they showed me pics of the ducks he had bagged. I had already seen them on facebook though.
I didn't get to bed until 1:30 so I slept well!
Don't lose sleep over this nonsense, it will be quite helpful for the DD crew I am sure. They are some pretty smart cookies...
If they are shooting future episodes of DD without Phil at this time, it's like throwing Brer Rabbit into the briar patch, it's duck hunting season and guess what Phil will be doing with his mandatory "vacation?" LOL

It was cool that he chose to watch it again when I ws there, or maybe he didn’t watch it when it was on.

LOL Si was so funny with his Franken scent and the women calling the pigs was hilarious! Phil couldn’t keep himself from laughing and then they caught on.
Cool your grandchild is close to you, my whole immediate family lives less then 10 miles, it’s a real blessing!
