Well ya know, I believe it’s time for a positive assault on this problem. And it’s not what you might think. It is a vigorous promotion of the gospel answer to men caught in this sin.
Now I want to digress here to say I think the gospel we usually hear today is the wimpiest thing in a long time. There’s no way that most of what you hear in modern churches is going to fill men with the courage to be manly men, to use their innate toughness to glorify God, filled with God, instead of using it to glorify idols, filled with idol power. That went out with the medieval knights or something, it seems to me. And it is a DAMNED shame and I mean that word DAMNED. God is mighty disappointed here!
WE NEED THE CURE AND WE CAN’T GET IT IF WE KEEP REJECTING IT.
I think the tough, even “macho” (if we dare use that term) redneck he-man set are the right population to carry that gospel. If they will rediscover its power, and it’s a whale of a lot more than going oh shucks out in the field hunting ducks. It’s the power to forcefully say no to Satan’s baloney while saying an emphatic yes to God’s truth... it’s the power that both builds in God’s spirit and that stops the work of the destroyer.
In another aside, here’s one very little publicized thing about those men saved by gospel power from sex sin. They are MORE, not less, manly than their unbelieving counterparts who happened into natural gifts that “look okay” but which are not God centered at all. Yes, the more filled with God a man is, the more manly he will be.
I hope this does not come across as just empty philosophizing here. I hope it means something to somebody!

So A&E chose the anus. NP surprise there. Only question is do the kids and brother stand by Phil.
I have mixed emotions. Praise be to Christ that Phil told it like it is. However the show is one of the few out there that include prayers and basic clean living and I would hate to see it cancelled. In fact I think it is disgusting that our society has devolved to this point where traditional values are now considered ‘controversial’.
On a totally unrelated note I am sick of seeing Duck Dynasty stuff all over the stores. Perhaps Willie’s doing? I dunno. I want them to be successful but it is way past overkill. There’s a glut of the merchandise everywhere you go and lots of cashing in going on. Nothing against people making money but I am sick of seeing Si’s face everywhere. :-)

I wonder if another network would pick them up if A&E was so incredibly stupid as to dump them as a show?
I think it would be funny as heck at the next board meeting at they did. “We gave up millions of dollars in revenue to show our humbleness before the LGBT community!”

Anything that challenges liberal icons must be silenced instantly lest people begin to question those icons.

Beck is committed to bypassing the established MSM.
He needs two things:
Content
and
a channel.
He tried to buy “Current TV” to get a channel.
He will buy or force his way into the cable line up.
Having the “Ducks” would give him the leverage needed to get a preferred spot.
Mark my words.
I think they have gotten a little proud of themselves there, and that’s going to undermine some of the spiritual strength that was in it. Guys, show us what it is to live godly. Don’t give us a bunch of fetishes and idols.
They may be humbled for a season. I hope they keep the integrity not to give in to the “gay” set though.
