One Christmas display in Newton has pitted neighbor against neighbor.
The home glows with holiday cheer in one Newton neighborhood: Santa, snowmen, baby Jesus in a manger. For the Hunter family it's an electric display of the Christmas spirit, but someone sent them a letter saying otherwise.
Not everybody in the neighborhood is Christian and many people do not wish to see such a flagrant display of your beliefs, said Kelly Hunter, received complaint.
The letter was signed only "your neighbors." The person who wrote it complained that the trimmings are tacky.

Only in obamaland would Christmas decorations cause controversy. I bet they cause controversy in shariah land too. Just sayin’
The correct response would be, “We’ll pray for these joyless neighbors, who want to ruin our Christmas celebration.” The incorrect response would be to take down the lights and the manger scene. There is no constitutional right in the USA to not be offended.

Obviously, not all of her neighbors are American or believe in American values. What if the next time she decorates her home it’s with lights that spell out “some of my neighbors are intemperate jerks”
The tackier, the better!
You have one of Rush's signs of a sane mind--you don't let others get your goat! Congrats!
Umm, has this moron ever sent a letter to the sodomites on parade? “Privacy of their own homes”?
The Hunter family says they won't let this letter put a sour note on their Christmas.
Pray for 'em (the neighbors), it'll teach 'em a lesson. ;-)
I think I love you!
No, atheists are peaceful, tolerant, rational people. Now retract your comment or we'll sue you into next week.
My guess is that the author of the letter is pretending to speak for some of the neighbors when in reality speaking only for him/herself.
More proof that the commie 'RAT meme, "Diversity and multiculturalism makes us stronger" is nothing but a massive crock of sh*t.
Misleading title. The controversy was not caused by the decorations. The controversy was caused by intolerant liberals.
perhaps the disgruntled neighbor should learn a tad of “tolerance”...
isnt that whats being a no good self absorbed progressive dope is all about?
My guess is that the author of the letter is pretending to speak for some of the neighbors when in reality speaking only for him/herself.
Seeing as how the article states the display was started 40 years ago, you can be sure that it some jerk new to the neighborhood that feels they can change history, just because they are “special”.
No, because every person is born with a knowledge of God in his or her soul. Deep down these fools know Jesus Christ is the truth, but they're fighting against it.
My response would be to set up an additional 10 - 15 nativity scenes in my front yard, with bright spotlights shining upon each and every one.
I’d also add hidden cameras in case the scrooge neighbor tried to mess with the nativity scenes.
Let it all hang out brother. I like your mindset.
The part of the "First" that cows atheists and other libtard moonbats is the ONE thing christians and conservative have NOT used to PUNCH BACK!
To wit: " ...or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;..."
Grow a pair, ball your fists, and go in SWINGING!
Its the ONLY thing that will make them see sense.
i think this is excellent advice... i am finding that it is best to let things just fall and die like dried-out rose petals... it goes no where... nasty comments... rumors... things that cause unnecessary drama... let God be your defender...
