I thought this was satire when I first read the story. It isn't. This is true.

Schumer is telling veterans that a 20% loss in the value of a pension (earned through a 20 year military career in often the most murderous of conditions) is "just a little bit" - but members of Congress have already been "cut" too much and they will not give up any of their benefits.

This man will smile before the cameras with military retirees and active duty, and then pick their pocket while doing so.

This Ryan-Murray "deal" that betrays our military saves only $6 Billion over ten years - to a Federal government that spends $6.46 Billion per day.

Paul Ryan and John Boehner are currently lobbying the GOP Senate to pass this deal. They are undoubtedly working the phones as I type this.

Schumer's comments declare one thing - the targeting of current serving military and already retired military veterans was born out of nothing but vindictiveness and spite.

This has NOTHING to do with saving money.

The Senate should either remove the provision that screws our veterans, or reject the whole thing.
