Caroline Kennedy is a long way from Syracuse.
The soft-spoken presidential scion, who four years ago this month toured upstate New York in a short and ill-fated bid for the U.S. Senate, has swept with force into her newest public role as President Barack Obama’s ambassador in Japan. And if the iconic daughter of American political royalty showed herself to be deeply uncomfortable as a glad-handing pol, she’s on her way to becoming something of a rock star in the more dignified world of diplomacy.
She has been swarmed by well-wishers in her public appearances, including Japanese men and women who offered their sympathies during the November anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s death. The Japanese TV network NHK delivered a live broadcast of her first appearance at Japan’s Imperial Palace, according to the AP, as throngs of onlookers crowded the streets. When Prime Minister Shinzo Abe appointed Japan’s first female prime ministerial aide, his office mentioned Kennedy’s role in Japan as an inspiration.
Kennedy has been awed by the reception, according to her friends and political associates. Yet far from being overwhelmed, Kennedy has eased into the role of ambassador far more smoothly and naturally than she did in her last high-profile adventure, as a contender for Hillary Clinton’s vacant Senate seat.

Listening to that New York Daily News y’know Interview, it was obvious to me that she had NO political ideas.
When the Kennedys gather around the dinner table and discuss “politics” or “ideas,” what is there to discuss? They’re unanimous about everything: abortion good, freedom evil, being stinking rich good, capitalism evil...
Here I was under the mistaken belief she was the US Ambassador to Japan...
The Charge d’ Affairs does all the heavy lifting. She goes to the parties and luncheons. The military aides do the spying. Nothing new to see here.
I think she’s hideous. And because she’s evil, I look forward to her getting more and more hideous as the years go by.
She’s irrelevant. Compared to Chelsea Clinton-Mezvinsky at least, LOL.

Attention ladies: If your marriage is falling apart you can just become an ambassador to a country far far away and jet off leaving the offending party behind. Who knew it was so simple? :-)
Being a celebrity does not make her competent of qualified.
Of Course all of the Kennedy fan club wants to get close to her. Miley Cyrus fans want to get close to her too.

Those “you knows” and “like, uhms” was because she was afraid she would like, uhm have to defend her ideology, you know, she couldn’t speak truthfully, like, uhm, you know, with all those mean conservatives out there ready to refute her ideology. If only she had been a more accomplished liar, you know, she uhm, wouldn’t have sounded so dumb and like, uhm, she would certainly have been elected, you know, like for sure.
I guess I have always seen her as more ignorant, then evil, per se.
Oh okay...., I think I understand now.
The Nipponese have a long history of ‘personality cult’ worship. A more perfect place to put a no-talent Kennedy could not be found.
