THERE THEY were, just below Martha Stewart and Paula Deen and Allure in the magazine rack at the supermarket: the gun periodicals.
I bought three.
Back at the place where I was staying this was in upstate New York, a week ago I pored over the ads and the editorial content, trying to understand what they were saying, and to whom.
First, they want you to buy a gun. It will probably not be your first gun; it will be an addition to, and an improvement on, the gun or guns you already own. It may deliver precision firepower, and allow you to be victorious. It will fit almost any need, including tactical applications. It may allow you to wield the power of an entire arsenal. If its a rifle, its optics can help to deliver consistently repeatable accuracy at extreme distances and in stressful situations. If its a .357 Mag six-shooter, it will deliver the message loud and clear. If its a handgun, it needs to be light enough to bring with you any time you leave home, where presumably [you] have more substantial firepower at the ready than a concealable handgun. If youre a woman, you can get something lethal in pink.
Then there are the accessories. You may be overseas on a covert op or here at home as part of a tactical team, in which case youll want a silencer, to help you get it done quick and quiet! Consider purchasing 30-round magazines for your Kalashnikov pattern firearms, or ammunition that will not clog when piercing thick or heavy clothing. You may want to order a day planner called Hidden Agenda, which has a storage compartment for your firearm and additional magazines. And dont forget to stock up on concealed-carry underwear....

How coincidental, I just bought a new Leupold scope for my newest AR15-guaranteed to deliver consistently repeatable accuracy at extreme distances and I purchased special hollow point ammunition with polymer tips that prevent clogging up when piercing thick or heavy clothing, like a hoodie for example.
There is nothing the standard AR will handle that I would consider a good long range round. Try stepping up to the .338 lupua or at the very least a 300 mag.
Paula Deen definitely does have a magazine. She lost a TV show, but the magazine lives on.
Where do you live that you don’t see gun magazines? I see them all the time. I even see them in airports.
Funny you should say that, I’m getting a scope for my .300 win mag next. Still trying to pick one out. I have to admit though, I am a fan of the AR15 and the 5.56 mm round. It’s capable of a lot more than some people give it credit for. it isn’t a “long range” rifle/round, you’re right about that but at mid range, it’s plenty adequate.
Maybe I just haven’t been looking for Gun Magazines, because right now, I cant afford another one. Same reason I don’t look at Auto Books, I’m still driving the Honda Civic Eggbeater for now. I’m north of the San Francisco, Oakland California Area.(Marin County).
Just got my stamp back Friday. 10 months!
I’m in Marin as well.
I’ll keep my eye out for a Honda Civic with perhaps an NRA sticker on the bumper.

My first thought, too.
Kinda like getting a lecture on "tolerance" from a muslim, ain't it?
I’ve been looking for a new red dot, myself.
Can’t seem to find one in bifocal ;-D
I have plenty of Six-shooters. They’re mostly patterned after the SAA or later. My favorite is my Uberti Wyatt Earp Buntline with 10” barrel chambered in 45 Colt.
I hear ya brother.....bifocals, trifocals and progressives are a real turnoff when shooting.
It’s a funny thing, though. Each time I have to get a new prescription, my eyesight has gotten progressively better. I finally gave up the progressives and went back to single vision. And now with my arms outstretched I can see the sights and target with them. Hooray!
Silencers are legal (at least in my state). I see ads all the time for them. It takes an ATF Form 4 and a $200 tax stamp.
There’s never any shortage of ignorant *ssholes - why pay her any attention?
Her opinion on condom and enhancement advertisements?
“There was no clarification if this was suicide ,an accident or other.”
She has changed the article to make it clear that her father suicided. It would be enlightening to compare the original sentence to the one existing now.
Anyone have access to the original article?
Sure, they’re legal
Then watch gun violence, teen pregnancy, suicide, bullying, knockout games and other forms of disrespect start to disappear.
Oh! And while you are at it, start teaching real science instead of global warming/climate change BS.
You know you have a shill when they mention “the gun lobby” as opposed to the American people.
The American People ARE the gun lobby!
