The nine remaining states that were refusing to extend full benefits to troops with same-sex spouses have formerly dropped their opposition.
“All military spouses and families sacrifice on behalf of our country,” Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said in a statement Friday, the Military Times reported. “They deserve our respect and the benefits they are entitled to under the law.”

The fabulous Mr. Hagel has to be so proud. Throwing U.S. taxpayer dollars into the sexual deviant sewer. Good job Chucky! Thanks for turning the U.S. military into just another freak show.

The purpose of spousal benefits is to facilitate child rearing. That is the only way it makes economic sense.
If spousal benefits are mandated for ecomonically suspect reasons, companies will stop providing spousal benefits altogether. Economics don’t work that way. TANSTAAFL.
They’ve already started; companies are beginning to toss spouses off insurance (a partial effect of both obamacare and same sex benefits).
Of course, that’s probably the point.

We see clearly who the obama regime favors.
For anyone left in our military who still has the courage and moral fortitude to speak against this. Now would be a good time. Careers can be replaced, the nation you have fought for can not.
Agreed, and it’s outrageous. 0bummer & thugs have and are promoting most everything detrimental to the country.
To make a greater point, I’m sure one of the goals of pushing same-sex benefits IS to spoil long-established traditional values. They simply don’t care if the end result is to make traditional child-rearing more difficult.
Here’s the thing: the left is desperate to prove that their alternative value system is co-equal to Judeo-Christian morality. We can do just fine without God, thank you very much.
Except, that never quite pans out for them...
All it does is create jealousy. The attack on Judeo-Christian values is a direct result of the fact that those very values mock the humanists. So, what starts out as just copping out of participating in the values systems that make society work ends up being active participation in undermining those values.
Pawns. All of them.

Indeed. That’s one of the goals of feminism, i.e., force housewives/stay-at-home moms into the workforce and have the children raised by the state instead. The ultimate goal of homosexualism/feminism is the destruction of the natural family and replacing it with the government in order to create a socialist “utopia” on earth.

It's worse than "don't care." Traditional child-rearing produces traditional children. Can't have that.
