A teacher who was found half-naked in a parked car with a teenage pupil could be back in the classroom in just two years.
Eppie Sprung Dawson, 27, admitted having sex with Matthew Robinson – who was 17 at the time of the offence – and was found ‘unfit to teach’ by a disciplinary panel.
Although the English teacher was placed on the sex offenders’ register after admitting her wrongdoing in court and has now been banned indefinitely from her profession, she can apply to be reinstated to the teaching register in two years.
Last night, the teenager’s mother said Sprung Dawson had been given little more than a ‘slap on the wrist, not a punishment’.
Sheree Robinson, 44, added: ‘If she is potentially allowed to go back to teaching after two years, what is to stop her from doing something like this again?

I had sex with my creative writing teacher. I was in college and we were around the same age.
On the serious side, this is a tragedy.. To what degree remains to be seen.. This boy is nearing adulthood, and probably not his first encounter with sex.. His problems are negligible, at best, but his future is tainted by the scandal..
Her problem started long before this encounter, and they are going to get a lot more serious, maybe for the rest of her life, if she has a conscience.. Her beauty will never be an asset again to her, as she will be seen as a predator, and suspect, by the folks that know her and love her, and she’ll never escape that until she loses her youthful appearance.. That’s her penalty..
The real tragedy is to the teaching profession in general, that has already being degraded, the courts, that will handle this unfairly because of her attractiveness, and the young girls that read about this and see there is no serious, overt, punishment..
If the child was younger, I could go on for several pages, because it happened to me and I stayed in touch with her for many years, and I followed many other similar crimes, for obvious reasons..

Sprung Dawson, 27, who lost her job when the scandal emerged, narrowly escaped prison over the relationship and undertook psychosexual counselling.

The adults in these situations really need to turn their back on the ‘candy’ and live up to their duty. It’s a shame this happens.
I’m a stiff punishment guy in these situations. I don’t think it’s just a perk for a guy when an older woman does this. Up front it may seem like it, but I think there’s guilt that goes with it and can follow a guy for a long time too.

I had about a half dozen teachers in that time of my life and would have given anything if they would have molested me!
That said, why woman like this is interested in little punk kid I will never understand.
The guy in this situation shouldn’t carry the guilt. He is presented with a situation that is almost beyond his ability to say no to. IMO, he has the normal experience of doing something like this with a peer, stolen from him. It’s statutory rape. It’s called that for a reason.
Adults who do this to their students deserve to have the book thrown at them. The kids don’t. If the teacher is married, it can cause the kid all sorts of guilt, even if the teacher doesn’t have a bit of it.
Whatever the young man feels, it’s not abnormal. It’s a crap shoot how it’s going to be handled mentally. Some guys will probably do it and be okay. Other guys who are inclined to be more caring and sensitive, may carry it with them for decades.
IMO, I think it’s healthy if the guys who were in this situation and have a hard time with it, to cut themselves some slack, forget about it, and never look back.
They don’t owe anyone an explanation. They don’t owe the world any guilt. They don’t owe society any guilt.
The drive to participate in this is so deeply seated in guys, that it’s just about impossible to say no to. It’s purely biological. Hormones are at their peak in guys. Curiosity enters into it. The drive to become a man enters into it. At a time when a lot of guys are insecure, they’re looking to score to ease their insecurities. This is natural.
When an adult takes advantage of a young guy like this, it hits so many issues that it’s really tough to identify them all.
I’m a thinker. Don’t read anything into what I don’t say. Just know that I’m thinking it. We’re on the same page here.
In the DM article there’s a pic of her with her husband (soon to be ex?) were she looks kind of matronly even. Much different than the other pics. Anyways, upon seeing photos of both the husband and the teenager I’m wondering why she wasn’t happy enough with hubby? Then again, I as an adult have not found teenaged boys sexually appealing. Much prefer a grown man with mature emotions/intelligence.

The long-running meme in FR involves noting how attractive women can dally with under-age students and mostly get a slap on the wrist (in this case, she may be back to being a teacher), while a man in similar circumstances would go to prison for a while.
