Two days ago Paul Ryan and Patty Murray announced a budget deal. Forty-eight hours later, it passes the House. In the two days since the announcement, Boner attacks conservatives twice. One of of attacks included something to the effect that conservative groups didn't have a chance to read the bill before being against the bill.
What ever happened to a little deliberative process? I certainly did not have time to read the bill. I did not have time to convey my thoughts to my congressman, Scott Perry (R-PA), who voted for the bill. Did Scott Perry even read the bill? How many congressmen read the bill?
I know the Senate is supposed to be the deliberative body in Congress, but the Republicans do not have a majority in the Senate. Boner pushed this bill through as fast as he could, because he knew the wrath of conservatives that would occur if congressmen went home over the holidays and the American public knew what was in the bill.
“Let’s get real...”?
I don’t think there is anything in the world that ConservativeInPA could say that would cause virtually any member of this Congress to take it seriously.
Why should we have to bother?
We don’t need to know what’s in the bill. If two drunks are standing under a lamp post at 3:00 AM discussing what to tell their wives, do we have to listen to the story to know it is BS? No, but these arrogant jokers think we should take THEM seriously. Sorry, no sale.
Let’s tell it like it is, they are the filthy joke.
It’s a crap sammich and they know it. GOP=’Rats until proven otherwise. All these crap sammiches are always passed in a NY minute.
You know they’re getting ‘antsy’ to ram some crap through before the end of the year. They know most of us let our guards down at Christmas season. The dirty, skulking weasels.
All five Louisiana Republicans voted with Boehner.
We can “primary” them, but I don’t think the low-information Republican primary voters will take the bait.
The “rebranded” Bonehead has declared war on his voter base. Brilliant move meathead. The state controlled “media” has got the GOOBs convinced that they are going to win big in 2014. LOL! I’ve got some bad news for them. All of the former Republicans I know say that they are only going to vote for TEA Party candidates if they even bother to vote at all. My hardcore, conservative brother in law said he’s finished with politics and voting all together. No more checks to the GOP from him. Way to go GOOBs!
Republicans will face intense pressure over unemployment benefits

[snip] The imminent expiration of the Emergency Unemployment Compensation program for 1.3 million Americans is mostly being treated as a fait accompli in Washington... (Dems have created an interactive map showing how many people in each state stand to lose benefits.)... This strategy includes placing Op ed pieces by Democrats in papers that serve the districts of top Republicans, such as this one by Rep. Sander Levin in the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, the largest paper in John Boehners home state. The game plan is granular: One Democrat points out to me that stats are available on how many would lose benefits on the county level, and that Dems are trying to push these numbers into the coverage, because it is tangible for people in local communities.
