Congressman Tom Rice of South Carolina, a Republican, is sponsoring a resolution in the House of Representatives that would, if adopted, direct the legislative body "to bring a civil action for declaratory or injunctive relief to challenge certain policies and actions taken by the executive branch." In other words, Rep. Rice wants to take President Obama to court for not faithfully executing the laws.
"President Obama has adopted a practice of picking and choosing which laws he wants to enforce. In most cases, his laws of choice conveniently coincide with his Administrations political agenda. Our Founding Fathers created the Executive Branch to implement and enforce the laws written by Congress and vested this power in the President. However, President Obama has chosen to ignore some of the laws written by Congress and implemented by preceding Presidents," Rice wrote in a letter to fellow House members to ask them to co-sponsor this resolution.
"This resolution allows the House of Representatives to bring legal action against the Executive Branch and challenge recent actions, inactions, and policies."

This will go nowhere.
Impeachment is the only recourse.

Is it illegal for the head of Homeland Security to not enforce our laws? It damn well should be.

He’ll be in Hawaii beginning Year 2 of continuous golf before the case ever makes it to SCOTUS.

The media will label them as racists and this will die.

While you are correct, it must be recognized that impeachment could never happen either. There is no offense great enough to even cause congress to consider removing Obama. He has pigmentation immunity.
That is why most of the extreme left supported him.

I don't care if it goes no where; it's the right thing to do. A coin has two sides: either he's a traitor for not faithfully executing the law, or we are a traitor for being surrender monkeys and not holding him to that responsibility for fear it might not go anywhere. I'm not a traitor. I want to charges raised.

The courts will most likely decide that it is a political decision, and thus in the hands of Congress.

It is possible to impeach 0bama, but it is mathematically impossible to get the two thirds vote in the Senate to remove him from office. Even if every Democrat senator running for re-election is replaced with a Republican there will not be two thirds control of the Senate. We are screwed.

The sad and correct assumption behind your post is that we can’t depend on Democrats to do the right thing.
