The journalistic bond between The Post and MSNBC just grew a bit stronger, as the papers opinion section announced that MSNBC host Rachel Maddow will be writing a monthly column. We expect that she will bring to Post readers the strong arguments, sharp wit and thoughtful analysis of political and social issues that have made her show an Emmy Award winner, noted a memo on the move.
In a brief chat, Post Editorial Page Editor Fred Hiatt (the Erik Wemple Blogs boss) said he was really excited about adding Maddow to his roster of columnists. Shes written for us before and what she has done is great, said Hiatt. In 2012, Maddow wrote opinion pieces for The Post on the protracted war in Afghanistan and on the war on birth control.

Will she wear tampons as earrings? Oh wait, that is another “journalist” from MSDNC.
They’re just looking for the Democrat Man’s point of view. So few of WaPo’s supposedly male journalists actually have a pair, they decided to get a real man with a pair.
Let me guess - they’re after her conservative point of view, right?
It won’t matter to me who the Washington Post hires I don’t read their tripe anyway.
I can’t stand that guy Maddow!!
Who knew MSNBC had any show that won an Emmy?
Now people can wipe their @$$ with her biased column.
Is this an example of HOW Bezo (Amazon.Com) is going to run his paper?
The Emmy's are just a Hollywood limousine liberal circle jerk.
Washington Post hires infinite amount of monkeys and some lady...film at 11.
Post Editorial Page Editor Fred Hiatt must be Bi....or just plain stupid. This will link up a failing Leftist newspaper with a failing Leftist network. Brilliant.
I wouldn’t buy anything from amazon.commie if you paid me to.
The girly boy is literate?
I am shocked
But if you write down what she's saying - minus the glitz and eye rolls - it's very ordinary. I won't try to second guess the Washington Post - after all they're an amazingly successful newspaper.../s But I hope they're read her clips.
Perhaps she’s thinking of having children and is tiring of the stress of broadcast journalism. Or the WaPo is hopelessly stupid. Why would any decent person want to subscribe or advertise in it. Just another crappy Democratic broadsheet.
“strong arguments, sharp wit and thoughtful analysis”
Oh, yes, indeedy!
Next she’ll get an endowed chair at Harvard.
Try to imagine Walter Cronkite doing the news with the same smirks, eye rolls, and condescending attitude shown by that guy Maddow on his show
