President Barack Obamas job approval among American voters drops to a new low, a negative 38 57 percent, as the outlook for Democrats running for Congress and the U.S. Senate fades also, according to a national poll released today. He even gets a negative 41 49 percent among voters 18 to 29 years old and a lackluster 50 43 percent approval among Hispanic voters.
The presidents job approval compares to a negative 39 54 percent score in a November 12 survey by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University. Today, Obama gets negative scores of 6 92 percent among Republicans, 30 62 percent among independent voters, 31 64 percent among men, 44 49 percent among women and 29 65 among white voters. Approval is 76 18 percent among Democrats and 85 9 percent among black voters.
American voters say 41 38 percent that they would vote for a Republican over a Democrat for the U.S. House of Representatives, the first time this year the Democrats come up on the short end of this generic ballot. Independent voters back Republican candidates 41 28 percent. Voters also say 47 42 percent that they would like to see Republicans gain control of the U.S. Senate and the House. Independent voters go Republican 50 35 percent for each.

May it reach the 20’s like the temperature tonight here
I wonder what the lowest presidential poll was.
That’s really special - except that polls are meaningless in a dictatorship.
Well they did Carter. But the Democrats in congress never liked him anyway.
Obama has achieved sainthood. Even more so than Clinton.
It is a difficult question. I think they will begin distancing themselves from Obama when it becomes obvious that they have no chance in keeping the Senate if they are saddled with Obamas failures. But in my opinion they are already too late escape the Obama tar baby. (and no that is not a racist comment)
Or when vote count > 100% registered can be recorded during an election in any district.
I hope it plunges them into hell.
I’m glad to see it. It restores my hope. But it took too long!
The lefties can’t hold him up anymore. “All the king’s horses and all the king’s men...”
Unfortunately, now we’re faced with Hillary. We suffer a few more years. Repube-licans nominate trash, Dims run up a 3rd party convenience, and the 4 years of “what difference does it make?”
Wow. I’m ranting.
Come January, I bet it’s in the 20’s.
And he hasn’t hit close to bottom. Pitchforks, baby. Wait til January, February. It’s taking on water. Got that Rep Paul Ryan?
No one will hand Great Leader to the wolves. But if his approval does not improve prior to midterms, he may try to throw us that direction.
Truman and Nixon at 22 and 23% respectively.
By the next election, ObamaCare might leave
one murdered in each home for lack of what
was previously healthcare, and now is NOTHING BUT FEES
and TAXES and healthcare ONLY for the EXEMPT.
Wow! His chances of re-election seems to be nil now!
They will NEVER hand him over to the wolves.
The republicans have won the white vote every election that I can remember.
The black vote (85-7 pro obama) is essential to the long term survival of the democrat party.
The democrats can never ever throw a black politician under the bus.
Holy crack! Subtract 12%Black vote and he’s at 26. I think Knockout is hurting him.
I’d say the Democrats will help vote for his impeachment in 2015 just to make him the scapegoat and hopefully win some seats in 2016.
Ummm, RC, have you seen the recent blog and forum posts about the efforts to remove the Presidential 2-term restriction?
Writers are saying that the convention that all such changes are not permitted to affect the current officeholder are "just traditions", not law, and therefore if the change is approved before he leaves office, Obama himself can run for a third term.
And in case doing it the right way doesn't work or there isn't time (after all, we're talking about repealing a Constitutional Amendment), there's talk of doing it with an Executive Order.
That's right. People are seriously talking, posting, and blogging about the President making an Exec Order that permits him a third term.
Granted, Executive Orders can't amend the Constitution, if everybody plays by the rules. And we're talking about some nutcase writers and bloggers here. But these nutcases are getting airplay.... and not everybody is interested in playing by the rules.
