The Obama administration quashed intelligence reports that suggested an al Qaeda-linked group could have been responsible for the sarin gas attack carried out in Syria last August, according to a news report published in London on Sunday.
In threatening a U.S. military strike on Syria during the weeks that followed after the Aug. 21 chemical attack, President Obama and Secretary of State John F. Kerry cited “definitive” evidence that Syrian President Bashar Assad had been responsible for the incident.
What they kept secret, according to an article by Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, was the belief of U.S. spy agencies that military forces loyal to Mr. Assad were not ones in Syria’s civil war to have access to sarin.

What????? He LIED????
I am SHOCKED and STUNNED! My flabbers are completely ghasted.
Yet another GNS moment....
That is what’s great about the internet. Within days there was video basically proving that the “Free Syrian Army” either purposely chemmed locals, accidentally had one go off, or both. The only question is where it came from.
Obama was making some disturbing comments about the family dog, BO, (named by Barrack after himself: I believe most of us give our dogs our own names) and feeling his haunches and licking his lips, so his daughters put an ad in the Washington Post to sell him so that he wasn’t eaten.
“Talking dog, free to good home.”
So a man came to the WH and asked to see him. BO started talking right away: “Praise Allah you’re here! Man, I was close to becoming an entree.”
He then proceeded to tell the man of his many exploits, of his service as as a war dog, of his two dozen puppies, world travels, and on and on.
The man is amazed. “He really can talk. That’s incredible!”
And the younger one says, “Yeah, but you can’t believe a word he says. He’s a bigger liar than our father.”
Has Graham or McCain responded to this information?
Oh no, Obama lied? How can that be? OMG... who would’ve expected that? A democrat lying... please tell me it’s not true.
Seymour is following orders.
Now that Iran, and by extension Hezbollah and al Assad, are the good guys, Obama needs to re-write history about the chemical attack allegations that he made against al Assad.
Note that there is no comment from the U.S. to the story.
When and how?
I knew that somebody was lying. It cannot be both ways. The use of chemical weapons was a terrible thing but before you can accuse one or the other, you need proof and I didn’t see any. If there was any, we all would have seen it. Instead, the Russians were the level-headed people in this. If there had been proof, we’d have seen it and we didn’t. In the end, we had to walk away with our tail between our legs. Thanks Obama!
