An example would be that Dear Leader would order that a certain amount of lumber to be produced. So, the camp commanders would crack the whips, and the political prisoners would be driven to accomplish impossible demands. What would the camp commanders do if the quotas weren't met? They would LIE! They would report that they had achieved their quotas. Then they would ship the lumber and the people who shipped the lumber would agree with the numbers of the camp commanders. The people who received the lumber would also agree with the numbers. NOBODY would DARE report the truth, lest they also become a camp prisoner.
THE WHOLE DAMNED SYSTEM RAN ON LIES! Of course, the complicit media of Stalin’s era cheerfully reported the lies as truth, and no attempt was made to verify the numbers. Times change, leftists don’t. I’m working from home today and joining late. I got in to the story about how men looking at women is now targeted as taboo. Well, I have to say that it is already becoming the norm.
I was talking to a co-worker that is changing positions and she was telling me that she has heard that her new co-workers told her that her new manager “looks at the women.” So she was shocked that they hadn’t filed sexual harassment complaints to HR.
I asked, “what? For looking?”
She replied, “well, it is HOW he looks..”
I still don’t know what that means....
