St. Louis police are searching for a man who robbed a Bank of America branch from the drive-through lane about noon Saturday.
Police said the man drove up to the bank in the 6600 block of South Kingshighway in a white Impala and announced a robbery while at the drive-through window. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of cash and the man drove off.

d) about to be an ex-teller
Dumb Teller Alert.
all of the above.
Ok. I thought that was why they had bullet proof glass? Now that criminals know it's that easy...they'll have no reason to get out of their car. Who knows...they may even get a lollipop.
Frankly, I’ll bet it’s “B.”
The bank sure didn’t train that teller very well ... :-) ...
That’s my bet too. They have effective procedures for this eventuality, it’s not that easy, unless they have inside help.
Good thing the teller gave him the cash. Otherwise he’d have had to try to fit the gun into one of those little pneumatic tubes.
Yes, and then she would be obligated to hold the gun to her head and threaten herself.
They’ve got some awfully lazy thieves in South St. Louis.
I wonder if you can do online bank robberies now.
what is the teller a flippin idiot? Duck and leave the bastard staring at an empty window
sorta like the idiot McDonald’s worker who wtripped because some loon on the telephone said to
Or maybe the teller and the thief are splitting the pot right about now.
It may have been a stolen car. There's a lot of that in St. Louis.
Why risk getting your head blown off!
How?
So robbers can save on getaway drivers. At least some people have business sense.
I’m sure there will be an App for that shortly.
yup inside job
This is slightly OT, but my business bank (which swooped in here from Canada a few years ago and bought up all the independent banks in this area) has just announced that after February there will be a fee for cash deposits after $3000 has accumulated in a month. What’s with that? They are just encouraging any business that deals in cash to take their banking business elsewhere.
I am just about ready to do that, although this move does not affect me. They have made too many bone-headed moves. I have a new financing agreement almost ready to be signed, and I’ll be opeing business checking accounts in the new bank. And I’ll be praying for the failure of this intruder from the north.
They also took over my personal accounts when they bought all the banks. I moved the personal accounts at that time (and have been very happy with the decision) and I had to stand in line to close my accounts, there were so many people POed.
They do have procedures to ensure eventual capture of the perpetrator. The Bank's attitude is that the teller's should not put themselves at risk-the bank's insurance will reimburse them for loss of money, but can't reimburse a teller for loss of life or restore them from injury-obviously.
In addition, if you have never been on the receiving end of a gun whether face to face or through a glass, you really have no basis for criticism. Even if you have had that experience, focusing on a hapless victim rather than criticizing the robber, is not just unseemly it's down right mean. JMHO.
