Attached is a link to a PPG article about Jim Quinn's and Rose Tennant's first public appearance since their removal from Quinn & Rose, "America's Morning Show". Apparently, the turnout was quite large. I listened to Quinn & Rose for over 18 years until they were abruptly removed from the air a couple weeks ago. Clear Channel originally stated that "contract negotiations had broken down" and that they "were unable to come to financial terms". What I have learned from well-placed "A1" sources with access is that Quinn & Rose were summarily fired; they were NOT in contract negotiations. Unfortunately, a non-compete clause in their contract requires that they not be on the air in the Pittsburgh market for six months. So, for those of us who've started our days with a cup of coffee and a hefty dose of honest, non-partisan conservatism for years, it appears we'll have to wait a few months for them to return.

Why do you hate Maria Sciullo?

If they were fired then the non compete clause is dead. The only way they could enforce the non compete clause is if they quit or clear channel is continuing to pay their salary.
...or if the non-compete clause is included in the terms of a severance package. Many companies do the same thing, although it’s rarely enforced.
hate to hear this ..I appeared on the show a few times and always thought Rose was a fantastic interviewer .
If there is money to be made, they will soon be back on the air. There are very few left wing radio hosts because they very simply do not generate revenue due to poor ratings.

I occasionally listen to them on WOBX 98.1 Outer banks NC. Bill Bennett was the talk show host the other day in their time slot. Didn’t realize they were off the air.
“...or clear channel is continuing to pay their salary.”
They might be doing that, sometimes that happens.
I don’t know anything about Quinn and Rose, I only know there is a daily thread here for their show. But why were they fired?
I agree completely. I’ve always thought she was one of the best and most well-prepared interviewers I’ve ever heard. Not the best host, per se, but a superb interviewer.
I’m so bummed every time I get in the car and turn the radio on in the morning.... the day is incomplete w/o knowing what’s going on

If they are not allowed to be on a station in Pittsburgh, then what is to stop them from going to another city and broadcast from that location and have their show on a webcast?
Before I was on the show, I thought Quinn was the brains of the outfit .now I think they both are. Really good show IMO ..would love to know the inside skinny ...
As to why they were fired, I can only speculate. Unlike a few of the major syndicated shows, they’ve been truly non-partisan and just as likely to call out Republicans as Democrats. Recently, they’ve been as critical of McCain, Graham, Toomey and the like and their positions on ACA/Obamacare, Cruz and Lee as they were Obama, Reid, Pelosi, et al. Strong supporters of the Tea Party, they historically opposed a third party movement in the United States, but have shifted position within the last year. Thus, I suspect they’ve been a big a thorn in the side of the Republican elite...
But why were they fired?
I read the story to the end for an explanation but no. Not a thing. Just heart warming bs.
I saved the podcast of the show with that interview. I wish I could post it here. Is it possible to do that?
How are things on the OB? That is one of my favorite places, but we haven’t been there for years. We sold our place there (KDH)years ago.
Oh cool! Thanks.
Yes, I think there’s a way to do it not sure how it’s done though.
