God rest Nelson Mandela. His [horrid] record on pro-life/pro-family issues

Nelson Mandela and abortion

Mr Mandela has been quoted as saying on abortion: "Women have the right to decide what they want to do with their bodies." In 1996, Mandela signed into law the Choice on Termination of Pregnancy Bill, which permits abortion on demand. SPUC's pro-life colleagues in South Africa tells us that the bill was introduced into the South African parliament by Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Mr Mandela's health minister. In addition, the wording of the new South African constitution, signed by Mr Mandela in 1996, had made the legalisation of abortion on demand a mere formality. Mr Mandela's African National Congress (ANC) has a strong ideological committment to abortion, with the ANC Women's League strongly behind the legalisation of abortion on demand. The ANC has for decades been in a close political and electoral alliance with the South African Communist Party (SACP) (Mr Mandela pictured with SACP leader Joe Slovo) which also has a strong ideological committment to abortion.

Nelson Mandela and homosexuality*

The 1996 Constitution signed by Mr Mandela made South Africa the first country to forbid so-called discrimination on the grounds of "sexual orientation”. Homosexualist activists have honoured Mr Mandela for this provision.

Looks like he’s got raving reviews from everyone in the Media from the left and the right.

I guess right now he’s finding out if his maker agrees.

Winnie Madikizela-Mandela
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Assumed office
May 2009
First Lady of South Africa
In office
1994–1996

Winnie Madikizela–Mandela (born Nomzamo Winfreda Zanyiwe Madikizela; 26 September 1936) is a South African politician who has held several government positions and headed the African National Congress Women’s League. She is a member of the ANC’s National Executive Committee.

Although she was still married to Nelson Mandela at the time of his becoming president of South Africa in May 1994, the couple had separated two years earlier. Their divorce was finalised on 19 March 1996,[1] with an unspecified out-of-court settlement. Her attempt to obtain a settlement up to US$5 million, half of what she claimed her ex-husband was worth, was dismissed when she failed to appear in court for a settlement hearing.[2]

A controversial activist, she is popular among her supporters, who refer to her as the ‘Mother of the Nation’, yet reviled by others after the South African Truth and Reconciliation commission found “Ms Winnie Madikizela Mandela politically and morally accountable for the gross violations of human rights”, concluding that she had personally been responsible for the murder, torture, abduction and assault of numerous men, women and children, as well as indirectly responsible for even larger number of such crimes.[3] In March 2009, the Independent Electoral Commission ruled that Madikizela-Mandela, selected as an ANC candidate, could run in the April 2009 general election, despite her suspended jail sentence for fraud.[4]

Winnie Mandela is NO SAINT

The surname Mandela is given a false sense of honour in this world because of Nelson Mandela, but his former wife Winnie Mandela is a murderous whore of a woman, and she should never be given any sort of honour anywhere in South Africa, or indeed, this planet Earth.

Now, I’d only become aware of this due to comments on a previous publication in which Winnie Mandela caused undue misery upon an officer of the law, as she recklessly, and cold heartedly put other persons in danger while travelling at a very high rate of speed on a highway in South Africa. She further shamed herself with her diva whore behaviour in the eyes of all under the sun with her cold hearted, high handed, and superior attitudes towards the officer of the law who’d only done his sworn job to serve and protect those travelling the highways there. This woman is no saint, and she shouldn’t even be allowed to wander free in the nation of South Africa, or anywhere in this world.

Murder Most Foul.

According to Wikipedia, the following is the most accurate description of the cruel form of murder that has been associated with the despicable name of Winnie Mandela:

Necklacing (sometimes called necklace) is the practice of brutal and cruel execution, carried out by forcing a rubber tire, filled with gasoline, around a victim’s chest and arms, and setting it on fire. The victim may take up to 20 minutes to die, suffering severe burns in the process

According to Wikipedia:

The practice was often carried out in the name of the ANC, and was even implicitly endorsed by Winnie Mandela, then-wife of the imprisoned Nelson Mandela and a senior member of the ANC, although the ANC officially condemned the practice.

One of the highest profile cases was that of a young girl, MakiSkhosana, who was necklaced in July 1985
“Moloko said her sister was burned to death with a tyre around her neck while attending the funeral of one of the youths.

Her body had been scorched by fire and some broken pieces of glass had been inserted into her vagina, Moloko told the committee.

Moloko added that a big rock had been thrown on her face after she had been killed

Nelson Mandela was a hard-core Communist most of his life. Unfortunately for him, (and fortunately for South Africa) he found that Communism was on life-support when he assumed the Presidency of South Africa with the Soviet Union having collapsed. He did have the common sense to realize he would quickly lose what international goodwill he had built up if he tried to start a communist revolution and he would also not have the Soviet Union to fall back on for support. So he governed more as a European Socialist than a full blown Commie because he simply had no choice.

Freepers have not given N. Mandela any positive comments. And rightly so!!!!

Watching TV yesterday, all of a sudden all news channels were devoted to Mandela for at least an hour or two. The Mandela myth is like the Obama myth.

It seems Catholic bishops in every country just have this uncontrollable urge to slobber on the shoes of any pro-abortion politician they can find.

If he was all about freedom as the liberals say then why did he support communism and commies? That’s like saying you’re for racial equality then supporting Nazis. Oh but that’s right - For liberals communism *is* freedom.

I was pissed off when he was one of I believe three foreign nationals in 20th century invited to speak to congress where he raised his fist to communism. Then he came to a Cowboys Thanksgiving game I was at and everyone is cheering. I’m glad he’s gone. I admit he could have been a lot worse and for that - that is good and fine. Things will go badly now in SA as Mandela and his personage served as a kind of restraint on the madness that will ensue at some point.

Its like being against mom and apple pie. His politics were always suspect and sooner or later someone will come out with a little more background. Hell, they are still picking on Lincoln and the Founding Fathers. It never ends so long as there is a book to sell and money to be made.

"Nelson Mandela and Joe Slovo give the clenched fist salute in front of the blood-drenched Hammer and Sickle flag of Bolshevism. Slovo, a Yiddish-speaking Lithuanian Jew, was Secretary General of the South African Communist Party and director of the military wing of the ANC, which perpetrated numerous terror bombings against white civilians."
