President Obamas repeated use of presidential powers is causing a tough problem his own supporters now expect him to use it to achieve everything they want. From immigration to the minimum wage, congressional Democrats and liberal activists this week urged Mr. Obama to declare an end run around Capitol Hill, assert executive authority and make as much progress as he can on the expansive agenda he laid out for his second term
A day after Mr. Obama denounced income inequality, progressive lawmakers said he should take the lead by issuing an executive order requiring all federal contractors to pay workers more than the minimum wage. A dozen lawmakers and immigration activists held a news conference outside the Capitol on Thursday asking him to halt all deportations as a down payment on an eventual immigration bill. To not use his executive authority is not just unstrategic; it is cruel, said Tania Unzueta, a strategist with the National Day Laborer Organizing Network. On immigration, Mr. Obama raised expectations when, after years of denying he had such powers, he issued a policy last year saying he no longer would deport young illegal immigrants, the Dreamers who were brought to the U.S. as minors by their parents and are considered the most sympathetic cases. He said he was using prosecutorial discretion. More than two dozen House Democrats have written a letter to Mr. Obama saying he can expand that authority to encompass nearly all 11 million illegal immigrants.

Not even the left are afraid of Boehner & co. to even suggest such treasonous suggestions.
Attn House: Start cutting off his money.
And now---America is convinced their govt doesn't really love them (sob).
Mmmmmm....one can only imagine the weeping and gnashing of teeth over at the "tolerant and compassionate" DNC.
==================================================
Heck, streetwise Boobamba is the practiced community organizer/con artist who easily duped his community into thinking that food stamps, welfare and SSI was "income" that would allow them to payoff sub-prime mtges.
Then the unappreciative ne'er do wells stiffed the banks---and struggling taxpayers were blanketed w/ huge bailouts to cover for the welchers.
Golly, no wonder liberals are panicking---their entire "Govt is Good" agenda was dependent on rickety Obamacare, built on a foundation of quicksand.
I guess that "special Chicago community-stupidity vibe" doesn't travel well to Washington.
Gee, I didn't know that this Constitutional scholar knew that much about the Constitution.
So, this is the next act of the play.
What can he do, the people are clamoring for him to declare himself Caesar.
Nothing new. Legislation is needed for better checks and balances in the future but I know itwon’t happen on this watch because everyone in Congress has no balls. I’d like to see how he gets them to keep doing his bidding like 0’bots. The NSA files and payoff lists must be long.
"Dammit. Obamacare flopped. Who knew that 'Chicago
community-stupidity vibe' didn't travel so well to DC?"
> Obama is LAW-LESS because the Republican leaders are BALL-LESS!!!
The best one line summary I’ve seen...: )
“Obama is LAW-LESS because the Republican leaders are BALL-LESS!!!”
Actually I believe most of the Republican members of Congress are compromised and behaving in a manner consistent with people who are being directed by others:
1) Some have been bribed, receiving stock tips, special investment opportunities or outright cash payments. Once they’ve taken the first “benefit” of position, the Administration (through FBI & NSA spying) can extort them.
2) Some have sexual indiscretions or substance abuse issues they wish to remain secret. Once they’ve sampled the pleasures of the fast paced lifestyle of the rich and famous, they become compromised.
3) Some come to office with modest means and must rely on big money donors and party committee funding to stay in office. There are strings attached to campaign money. Few who accumulate wealth in office (most do), as well as those who come to office independently wealthy, once there don’t want to spend their own money retaining office so they willingly accept the handcuffs that go with special interest and party financing.
4) A number are men and women who crave power. In order to rise to power, through the existing power structure, they must do the bidding of those who wield power. Ambition equals subservience.
5) A few (like John McCain and Lindsay Graham) covet the spotlight. They live to glow in front of the camera. In order to be invited on the Sunday shows, or be asked to comment on the issue of the moment, they assume the positions on issues required to be recognized by the media. If the choice is media adoration or representing the wishes of constituents, unless it is election year they pander to the media.
6) Those who play the game by the house rules are protected if they lose an election. They move on to a corporate board, executive branch job, academic position, or lucrative lobbying contract. How many people elected to Congress for multiple terms return to their district when they are retired or choose to retire? Very few.
If there is a lack of courage, it is because they are compromised. Living in Washington and playing the inside the beltway game has tremendous benefits in terms of money, power, sin, and ego gratification. Once they yield to temptation they become hooked and willing accomplices.
Time and time again we see young, idealistic, modest, and moral Mr. Outsider Conservative go to Washington to clean up the mess. Fast forward a decade or two. Mr. Establishment Conservative now has been divorced at least once and has a young gorgeous trophy wife who worked on his personal or committee staff before marriage. His modest cracker box home in the district has been replaced by a small condo used only as an address for residency. His primary residence is a sprawling home in the Virginia suburbs or a multimillion dollar townhouse in Georgetown. He no longer conducts town meetings in the district. He is a committee chairman or has some other position in the party power structure. He is seen with Hollywood celebrities and CEO’s of big corporations. He and the Mrs. are frequently traveling around the world on fact finding missions and corporate junkets. His chief assistant is a knock out, ambitious 30 year old blonde. His few visits to the district each year are media circuses where he dedicates a building or announces a big federally funded project. Whereas he once talked about principles, God, and country today he talks about compassion and the need to compromise.
The truly independent men and women in Washington are rare. Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich and Bernie Sanders come to mind. Look at how quickly Rand Paul and Marco Rubio have succumbed to the quicksand. It has taken less than a year. Michele Bachmann has been totally destroyed and is on her way out. Mike Lee and Ted Cruz seem to have the energy to fight, but for how long. The GOP establishment in Utah is already working to push Lee out. Cruz is under relentless assault by the media, his own party and the opposition party. Even if he can live with the stress of the pure hatred levied on him, can he advance further in politics without the big money donors? What pressures are being put on his Goldman Sachs executive wife? If history is any indicator, he will not be able to remain his own man indefinitely.
Courage implies passion and core beliefs. When I look at our GOP representatives I see weak men who have been broken and are now slaves. Once placed in chains, slaves who are well fed and living in comfortable housing rarely rise up against the master.
I’m fighting the urge to go rogue myself.
Obama is LAW-LESS because the Republican leaders are BALL-LESS!!!
That was pretty good.

We have used the soap box-we have used the ballet box- maybe it’s time for the ammo box.
Ever since the early 1970s, and their takeover of the Democrat party, “radicals” have insisted on calling themselves “activists”.
Their sole argument for this is that, now that they control the Democrat party, their radicalism has become legitimate. They no longer have to “overthrow the system” to force their radical ideas on others. They *are* the system, so they just need to force their radical ideas through the system, and it will be the system that forces their ideas on others.
Precisely.
I have every intention of finding out what is being taught in history and civics (if they even NAME those subjects that way ... /8^)
I'm afraid we've gone past the inflection point and are now over the magic 50% being on the dole. We're now in an economic gravity well from which we'll never escape. We're going full-Detroit. Economic meltdown. Bankruptcy.
Just a FRiendly reminder: the 0bama regime watches this site.

The cleanest, quickest way out of this morass is to secede form the USA. Texas should lead they way. In the meantime the many states should start forming infantry divisions just to show FedGov who means business.
The democrat party broke it, and the GOP hasn't the courage to fix it.
Au contrair.
Congress should sidestep this unconstitutional bastard, impeach him and throw his sorry butt in prison, along with those who advise, support and encourage him.
