President Barack Obama on Thursday ordered flags to fly at half-staff at the White House and public buildings, with the US in mourning over the death of “close friend” and anti-apartheid hero Nelson Mandela.

Interesting contrast between Mister Obama's reaction and response to the fairly recent loss of Lady Margaret Thatcher (someone truly worthy of being hailed as a hero to the free world) and the passing of Mister Mandela, who (according to many pundits, including O'Reilly, was a Marxist.)
