December 03, 2013, 03:50 pm Obama's uncle granted legal residency
By Rebecca Shabad
President Obamas uncle was granted legal residency in an immigration court in Boston on Tuesday.
Judge Leonard I. Shapiro of the Justice Departments U.S. Immigration Court approved Onyango Omar Obamas application for legal residency in the United States, according to the Boston Globe. He faced the threat of deportation at the hearing.
The papers immigration reporter, Maria Sacchetti, live-tweeted the proceeding.
Thank you, your honor, Obama said, according to Sachettis Twitter feed.
Shapiro said he believed Omar Obama was a gentleman, a good neighbor, paid his taxes, and met the criteria for legal permanent residency, commonly known as a green card, according to the Globe.
Omar Obama, 69, was born in Kenya and is the half-brother of the presidents late father. He has lived in the United States since the 1960s.
In 1992, Omar Obama was ordered to leave the country, but stayed. He had been ordered to be deported in 1986 and 1989, according to the Globes report.
He was arrested in 2011 for drunk driving, and was sentenced to one year of probation.
During the Tuesday hearing, the Globe reported that Omar Obama said, I do have a nephew. Hes the president of the United States.
Shapiro is the same judge that granted Omar Obamas sister, Zeituni, asylum in 2010.
Ya think?
Everything about Obama is fishy.
And his new Green card is payment for his eternal silence. Bet on it.
What? I can’t believe they are allowing Uncle Omar to stay! Said no one, ever.
In other words, a person of demonstrated low character - a scofflaw and drunk driver - is permitted to stay in this country.
He's a step ahead of his illegal alien nephew.
He was quoted upon hearing the news:
“Well. I’ll be an Obama’s Uncle.”
This judge graduated from college in 1957, which means he’s got to be in his upper ‘70s.
Is there no mandatory retirement age for judges in MA?

Will Barack Al-Obama now appoint his uncle to a Judgeship? Or perhaps an Ambassadorship? Who needs LAWS?
Has he had a car accident yet? Is he drunk yet?
Well,
find someone to get him drunk
and have a Foxnewsman interview him when he is drunk-
In Vino Veritas-
Uncle Omar disputed the “White House” position that Barack had never met him. He said Barack stayed with him for three weeks in 1980s when the “future President” was attending Harvard.
Ding, ding. We have a winner!

I'm shocked.
His uncle has something Obama never got around to getting - legal residency.
Shapiro, who was actually a Republican appointee at one point, blamed the Bush Administration for revealing Zeituni's existence and immigration status, even though it was the Times of London that did that.
More here. Apparently the documents can be obtained through the Freedom of Information Act.
