LONDON (AP) - The editor of The Guardian says his newspaper has published just 1 percent of the material it received from former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden.
Alan Rusbridger is being questioned Monday by Parliament's home affairs committee as part of a session on counter-terrorism.

Snowden may not have been a patriot but he ratted on US agencies that are themselves unpatriotic and that DO NOT have the people’s personal interests in mind.

Snowden has a target painted on his ass because he had the audacity to let ordinary folks know how they were being abused by the government security agencies.
The NSA is now in a very bad spot... Snowden could fabricate data and there would be absolutely no way the NSA could discredit him.

10 years, maybe even 5 years ago I would have called Snowden a traitor. However, I view him as a whistleblower. Our federal government is acting in any way but in the interests of the USA. There will probably be some collateral damage but it’s far more important for people to see how the government is working against the citizens, the Constitution and our true national interests.

That’s only your opinion, and that of the people in our “government” who have a vested interest in abuse of our citizens. We need less heat and more light. I don’t want our national security compromised, but when those who “protect” us, are using their “tools” against us, it’s time for a Snowden or two. One man’s traitor is another man’s patriot. I sure don’t put the folks at the NSA in the latter category.

The Dims have exactly the same views about Obama.
Some of them are new, but some are going back at least that far. Carnivore, for example, is every bit as intrusive as the new technologies, just not as effective. It’s been in place since Clinton, and Bush did nothing to stop it.
