[history]
The Supreme Court on Monday refused to hear a challenge to ObamaCare brought by a Virginia-based Christian university, ending for now one of the biggest remaining legal fights against the health care law.
The justices, in turning away the lawsuit from Liberty University and leaving in place a federal appeals court ruling dismissing it, did not comment on their decision. The decision comes less than a week after the high court agreed to hear a challenge from Hobby Lobby and one other company to the law's so-called contraception mandate -- the requirement on most employers to provide access to contraceptive coverage.

“Could just be because the Hobby Lobby case they accepted is a better vehicle to rule against the employer mandate. If Hobby Lobby wins, Liberty University will also win.”
As I understand it, the Hobby Lobby case is much more narrowly drawn. They’re trying to avoid having to provide certain services under the employee health plans, whereas Liberty University didn’t want to offer its employees health plans at all.

I'm not surprised that would tyrants are trying to take over this nation from the inside. What stuns me is how no one ANYWHERE at ANY LEVEL is trying to stop them.
Leftists have realized that the easiest enemy is one who views life as sacred. Conservatives will find any excuse not to give the tyrants what they need and deserve: death
To: PowderMonkey
Roberts won’t need to. The IRS & all the government para-military civilian “law enforcement” teams within the ATF, BATF, Nat’l Park System, Soc Sec, Commerce, etc, will do it for the totalitarian regime under 0dumboshit & the demoCRAPs & GOP-e.

Maybe the American people truly believe in tyranny. Just so long as they have their football, pizza, and beer
Eventually the idiots wont have that anymore. My job is to flee this idiot country before it all goes down.

This means they could not even get 4 Justices to agree to hear the case; assume they got three; 6 either said no or abstained. Not good...not good at all.
Someone in the Obama administration probably threatened to kill their families if they "did anything".

Go with NONE. We saw our last true honest national elections back in 2008. Cook County went national - the Machine and the Party now rules us. Elections will simply be a charade, a placebo to placate the masses into thinking they actually have a choice in their rulers. We don't anymore. We have no recourse left us within civil means. That's simple fact.
There is no hope of getting conservatives to organize and fight back. Our numbers are dropping constantly due to the influx of illegals and other Democrat supporting vermin. The only thing we have going for us is our guns....and most conservatives are too soft to use that option.
So all those who comply with this tyranny get what they deserve. Sadly, their children will get what they do not deserve.

The thing I don’t understand is: why the surprise? Of course the judiciary isn’t going to hear the case. Did we somehow expect something more out of 9 unelected political hacks in black muumuus? Might as well expect water to run uphill.

And I’m wrong how?
This country was founded by Protestant Christians and non-denominational protestants - who valued religious liberty. It was a Real Big Deal for the Founders. There was only, what, one signer of the Declaration who was Catholic?
Since 2005, there was only one Protestant left on the court. Since 2010, there are none.
Since the SCOTUS has been staffed in the majority by Catholics and Jews, religious freedom has suffered one defeat after another at the Supreme Court. Show me a case from this court where they’ve respected religious freedom. Just one. Go ahead. Try. Show me the results.

Delay, obstruct, refuse, destroy, in any way you can, all efforts of the left to impede our Constitutional rights, freedom and liberty. Do what you have to...time to take a stand..it begins with that first step, and DO SOMETHING about it. Swallow your fear, get some fire in that belly to do the right thing and DO IT. No soldier wants to go to battle, but they say their prayers, have a plan and then they fight. As old as history...don't know the outcome, the when, where or sometime the how of it, but it does begin with that first step. We're Americans, and we don't take no crap from socialist/marxist/communist/muslim infiltrators.

It is happening here. AND, the Holy Bible makes clear who is pulling this garbage off. You're right, but today in America only a relatively few people believe that the bible is really God's infallible Word to all mankind.
I believe there's a reason why the US isn't mentioned in bible prophecy, we won't be an important nation by the time those prophesied end-of-the-age events begin to take place on a large scale. I believe that some of those prophesied events are now in the early stages of taking place, such as the rapidly rising economic and military power of China and the acquisition of nuclear weapons by Iran. At my age (76)I probably won't live to see all that take place, but I expect that probably my children and definitely my grandchildren will.

Since 2005, there was only one Protestant left on the court. Since 2010, there are none. I may be mistaken, but I seem to remember hearing or reading that Justice Thomas is an evangelical Christian. If that's true he must be the only one of those to be seated on the USSC in my 76 year lifetime, and his appointment to that bench was fought tooth and nail by the Senate liberals of that time.

If contraception is Constitutional based on the idea of privacy (Doe vs Connecticut), then how can the state mandate its coverage?

“Justice Thomas was reconciled to the Catholic Church in the mid-1990s. In his 2007 autobiography, he criticized the Church for its failure to grapple with racism in the 1960s during the Civil Rights Movement, saying it was not as “adamant about ending racism then as it is about ending abortion now”.Thomas is one of thirteen Catholic justicesout of 112 justices totalin the history of the Supreme Court, and one of six currently on the Court.”—Wikipedia
