Conservative group hits Landrieu with ad on judicial nominations

A conservative group is taking to the airwaves in Louisiana Monday to attack Sen. Mary Landrieu (D) for supporting President Obama's judicial nominees.

"Mary Landrieu voted for every one of Obama's liberal activist judges," says the narrator of the 30-second ad from the Judicial Crisis Network.

The ad also goes after Landrieu for supporting a measure to eliminate filibusters in the Senate for most presidential nominees, a maneuver known as the "nuclear option."

"Landrieu even helped change the rules to pack a key court with new liberal judges," the narrator says.

Judicial Crisis Network is spending six figures to air the ad statewide for two weeks, a person familiar with the buy said. This is the group's second in recent weeks that targets a vulnerable red state Democratic senator. It released a commercial going after Sen. Mark Pryor (D-Ark.) last month.

Good! Landrieu, Pryor, etc. will attempt to portray themselves as conservative or moderate democrats. But their voting records belie this.

And also, with the filibuster gone, these senators will not be able to hide behind cloture anymore, where they voted for a nominee to be a good democrat but knew the nominee would never actually get confirmed. Now, their vote means confirmation up or down, and the coming election may keep some of these nominees from the bench or other positions (though McCain, Collins, Murkowski, Cochran, etc. will fill in to cover for vulnerable democrats).

The same ad could be run against lindsey graham in the GOP primary ...

Sotomayor: Senator Graham, however, true to his original statement during the hearings, voted for her nomination and did not impede the process.

A lone Republican, Senator Lindsey Graham, from South Carolina, jumped on board with Democrats to confirm Kagan and said that she is smart, well-qualified, and of good character.

LANDRIEU/BOOBAMBA'S HORRIFYING JUDICIAL NOMINEE---Blood-thirsty Cornelia Pillard is a radical pro-abortion extremist. The right to an abortion, she argues, is necessary to help “free women from historically routine conscription into maternity.”

Pillard also contends that men and women who oppose government mandates on employers to provide insurance coverage for contraception “reinforce broader patterns of discrimination against women as a class of presumptive breeders.”

Pillard complains ultrasound produces “deceptive images of fetus-as-autonomous-being that the 'anti-choice movement' has popularized since the advent of amniocentesis.” The notion that ultrasound produces images of autonomous beings is absurd. No one claims that the images are of something that is autonomous. Pillard’s concern is that ultrasound images look too much like something people want to protect. (powerlineblog.com)

Harvard and Yale graduate Pillard now a Georgetown U law professor---previously served as a deputy assistant to the attorney general in the Office of Legal Counsel and assistant to the solicitor general.

“The D.C. Circuit is known as the second highest court in the country, and there’s a good reason for that. The judges on the D.C. Circuit routinely have the final say on a broad range of cases involving everything from national security to environmental policy; from questions of campaign finance to workers’ rights. In other words, the court’s decisions impact almost every aspect of our lives,” Obama said. (theblaze.com)

LANDRIEU VOTED FOR THIS.: The Untraceable $8 Billion ObamaCare PR Budget--- govt fraud at its finest Did Landrieu tell her constituents about this? Section 4002---which mandates an $8B untraceable fund to "promote" Obamacare (apparently b/c Boobamba had so little confidence in his signature legislation). In 2010 Taxpayers are extorted $500 million, in 2011, $750 million, 2012, $1 billion, 2013, $1.25 billion, 2014, $1.5 billion and in 2015 and on, $2 billion........

In Obamacare, Democrats voted to nationalize 1/6 of the US economy ---- a renewable slush fund for consolidating Dem power. Once in the hands of the criminal hordes, all that money is untraceable.

===================================================

SELECTED DEMOCRAT QUOTES:
FROM THE UNEXPURGATED PAGES OF THE CONGRESSIONAL RECORD
:

<><> Nancy Pelosi (Dimwit-Calif) famously egged-on Congress to pass Obamacare "so we could see what’s in it.”

<><> Sen Mary Landrieu (Dimwit-LA) in the well of the Senate speaking to voters: "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan." Landrieu's O/care vote is popularly called the "Louisiana Purchase." Her (ahem) state got $4.3 billion when she voted aye. Where is the money, Mary? Does your brother Mayor Moon know where it is?

<><> Sen. Dianne Feinstein (Dimwit-Calif): “I listened to the president and I believed him when he said,' if you liked your plan, you can keep your plan.' I didn’t realize there were all these codicils attached to it."

<><> Pres Barack Obama (Dimwit-Ill): "we fumbled" the healthcare roll out." (Nominated for Understatement of The Century).

================================================

LANDRIEU VOTED FOR THIS All those loyal Dimocrats applauding the bill signing, who "stood tall" for Obamacare and sold their aye votes, also voted for this atrocity which Obama wrote into the healthcare bill:

LANDRIEU AND DIMCRATS VOTED EN MASSSE FOR THIS

IPAB is an Obama-created fifth branch of govt. government agency (as the con artist turned EPA, the IRS, the FCC, HSS, etc. into the fourth branches of govt).

IPAB (Independent Payment Advisory Board) is the first agency of the “fifth branch” of govt.....composed of hand- picked unelected members appointed by Obama:

1) It will make all important health care decisions by authorizing payment or not.
2) It is not funded by Congress and cannot have its budget reviewed or changed.
3) Its membership cannot be changed by future Presidents,
4) It cannot be repealed by Congress, except for a six month window in 2017.
5) Its decisions are not subject to judicial review.
6) It is not authorized by the Constitution, and is therefore immune to Constitutional processes.

==============================================

Obamacare con artists eliminated the ASSET TEST, (which would have prevented those with assets to even be considered for Medicaid coverage).

DID LANDRIEU TELL HER CONSTITUENTS ABOUT THIS? Every person herded onto Medicaid signed away their entire estate to the govt. Heirs get nothing---everything goes to the state to re-coup the expenses incurred under Medicaid. The Obama criminals duped people into a reverse mortgage scheme......

Here's how it works.

The Obama con artists herded seniors WITH ASSETS onto Medicaid---a program specifically structured for the poor.

Herding sickly elderly with assets into Medicaid has ominous consequences intriguing to sap-happy leftists. B/c assets, perhaps a home owned free and clear, securities, annuities, investment property, can be seized to pay for govt treatment.

Thus intergenerational transfers of wealth (a longtime liberal/progressive bugaboo)----are decimated. Can you say redistribution of wealth?

No surprise there. EMILY's List helped put Landrieu in office, so you know Mary will support all the pro-abortion judges that she can. Come to think of it, an anti-Landrieu ad hitting her on the EMILY's List connection might be a smart move. That organization was way out front as not just a "pro-choice" group, but an unashamedly pro-baby-killing campaign contributor.

LA people, I think I’m right on this, have not defeated a sitting senator, since Huey Pierce Long, Jr., upended Joseph E. Ransdell in the 1930 Democratic primary. History is clearly on Landrieu’s side; so are the hopes of the future for so many of the low-information class.

Well, if it wasn’t for New Orleans (you know; Mayor Nagin’s “chocolate” city?) the Dems would never win an election in Louisiana.

I wonder if they’ve tested other words besides “liberal”,
because these judges are “liberal”, even in the modern sense of the word.

At best they are RADICALLY liberal.
They need to focus group test words like “socialist”, “fascist”, “communist” and “Marxist”.

Spot on with that analysis. Incumbency is ironclad in Louisiana. Not just US Senator, but statewide and congressional races where the incumbent was voted out can be counted on one hand like the last 40 years. Bin Laden would be still be re-elected if he had state wide office here.

So, after mary cheated in 96 to win the open la. senate seat, she has been re-elected by a sad and frustrating dumb@ss percentage of republicans. She has received around 25% of the low-information GOP voters who think she is moderate and "helps the oilfield". I have spoken to these imbeciles and asked specifically, "What exactly has she done for the oilfied?"..they look at you like a deer in the headlight and say, "She has helped the oilfield." GRRRR!!!

I hope 2014 will be different. If there were no obamacare, then mary would have cruised to re-election. Now with obamacare firmly around her neck, let's hope we reach the low-info GOP to not vote for her.

She sided with McCain over Vitter on immigration.

I wonder if the NRA will wimp out against Pryor for a gun bill that Boehner couldn’t dream of passing.

Yeah, but, Mary's got the stench of Obamacare on her breath.

Huey only had wholesale corruption (snix)....he remains a controversial figure in Louisiana history, with critics and supporters debating whether he was a dictator, demagogue or populist. Under Long, hospitals and educational institutions were expanded, a system of charity hospitals was set up that provided health care for the poor.....and he pioneered free textbooks for schoolchildren.
