In the very early days of the AIDS pandemic in the homosexual community, it was called the “gay cancer”, because “gay” men were dying of illnesses due to depressed immune systems, but nobody at first knew what the cause was.
The ban on gay donations of blood made sense based on that.
Gay men especially are prone to all sorts of health problems, due to their voluntary sex activities. There could be other diseases similar to AIDS out there, which have not been detected yet.
I know we’re supposed to be liberal and lift the ban on donations. How about a compromise? A separate but equal blood bank, in which all donors are gay men. Then other gay men can get their blood transfusions from the gay themed blood bank.

How about a gay donation only blood supply - to be used exclusively for members of the AMA, CDC, HHS, and Congress, who are pushing for this.

I don’t mind if the blood I donate goes to a man who has had sex with men, or someone who has abused IV drugs. I just don’t want to get any blood from them.

WHY is it so important that they donate?
There will be hell to pay if some innocent person gets AIDS from a blood transfusion if the ban is lifted. And the people front and center on the effort to lift the ban will be the first to explain themselves.
The ban was and is a reasonable precaution. Should it be lifted, our blood banks cannot be considered safe.
the solution is to list other groups which are prohibited by donating.

Look around you. Do you see heterosexual men and women being diagnosed with AIDs? Try to recall that AIDs is actually an acronym for 30 separate disease states which is why they refer to it as a syndrome. The HIV test itself is nothing more than an antibody test, which, if it was positive, would only indicate some prior exposure to a harmless, ubiquitous extremely small 7 kilo base RETROVIRUS.
Homosexuals (read Gay men only) are subject to massive doses of poppers, anti-fungals, antibiotics, antivirals and then, when diagnosed as HIV positive are subjected to toxic chain-terminators and biologicals that eventually damage their already damaged immune systems that they succumb to minor infections.
Allowing these sexual perverts to donate to the blood supply will actually end up spreading Hep B and C into the blood banks. What a pathetic medical establishment we have. Of course after ObamaScare, there won't be any doctors so calm yourselves!
Advances in detection and treatment is not a cure. In fact according to CDC it’s still an epidemic that does not get reported.

Let’s see: The Center for Disease Control, a decidedly leftist organization, last month came out with the stats that 97-98% of the AIDS cases come from homosexual males . . . their figures . . . not mine.
