Republican political strategist Karl Rove accused the Obama administration of "hypocrisy" Wednesday, charging that a proposed change in IRS rules regarding nonprofit organizations is aimed at gagging conservative activists.
"This is clearly an attempt by the administration to discourage conservative groups," the former deputy chief of staff to President George W. Bush said on "Fox & Friends."
"I think it's hypocrisy," he said.

I hope he has realized he’s cashed his ‘ho check and is esteemed as a traitor.
FUKR
Meanwhile Rove wants to gag Teaparty people. I have lost all respect for the man.
Rove you bastard.
Obviously, but why would he care?
Rove hasn’t gotten anything right in years. Why anybody still listen to this clown is beyond me.
Rove is right on this.
Exactly. Rove has nothing to worry about in this case.
Karl, did you get audited by the IRS?
Agreed. One in a thousand.
Tokyo Rove gets torpedoed.
Well, look at who’s ox is being gored. It’s difficult to generate much sympathy when he’s an ox who gores.
But it’s true the IRS is going off the wall, and needs to be stopped. Failing to stop them after the Cincinnati fiasco has only encouraged them.
Why would the Republicans care about being silenced? They never say anything, anyway.
Someone should go to jail over what the IRS has been doing.
Rove....you ever going to get really passionate about anything?....really riled up?...I mean completely spitting mad over the rats?....
because if you really were serious, you wouldn't have been attacking tea party or conservative candidates for these many years....
lets start with Christine ODonnell.....
Rove won’t be audited. He’s one of the Dems’ best weapons.
I agree! If only we had a real honest government.
Yes he is.... AND we need to observe this new reality.
Just as many dems are now turning on Obama, many r i n o s will see the error in their ways. So when they see the light, why not support them? Why not make it easy for them to join us? Berating them may make us feel good... ie: We told you so but alienating them is not a fruitful strategery for our success.
Until recently, even when the dems were far apart they rarely went after each other.
WE are far more principled than they are. In fact, being right to us is often more important then victory..... Now we have a chance to embrace Rove and at the same time not compromise our principles.
Too bad Rove picked politicians aren’t doing a thing to reign in the IRS.
