Barbra Streisand’s diva ways apparently extend from her performances to her palace. Sources tell Confidenti@l the Grammy Award-winner made ridiculous and patronizing demands on interior decorators who recently worked on her $100 million Malibu mansion. We have learned “The Send in the Clowns” singer allegedly behaved like one by constantly squabbling with workers over prices, refusing to eat while decorators were in her house, and barring workers from even looking at her.
“They were told by a friend of hers, ‘Now children, you cannot make eye contact with Babs. You know that she does not like that. Do not look at her while you’re here,’ ” reveals our source. The design pros supposedly were outraged at being spoken to like schoolchildren and considered walking off the job. Our snitch says Streisand – who Confidenti@l reported earlier this month collected a cool $2.3 million for singing just 10 tunes at a banking conference — haggled over prices as if she were at a flea market. “It was a chore to deal with her whining, and it’s not worth the time and effort because she’s so stingy,” claims our source. “Barbra is extremely persnickety about every small detail and pattern, and she’s a huge know-it-all to boot. She sees herself as an extraordinary design aficionado.”

It’s not anti-capitalist, marketing is part of capitalism. There are people out there looking to spend money and all you are doing by marketing is giving them a reason. What is anti-capitalist about it? Look at all the garbage music today, do you honestly think they are selling by talent? Justin Beiber? Kanye West? Lady Gaga? No they sell because the music industry/media promotes the hell out of them basically because they have no choice, their music isn’t going to sell them. And yes anybody can manufacture a success, that is the beauty of capitalism. You don’t have to have anything special to make money. Get enough people interested and you’ll make money. Matter of fact there was one guy who demonstrated that about 10 years ago who successfully sold handfuls of dirt from his backyard on a bet with his wife. People actually bought it! Yes millions of people bought Barbara Streisands records but I’m telling you a lot those millions bought it because back in the 60s and 70s she was constantly promoted. Same with the Beatles and Elvis. The only difference is The Beatles and Elvis still sell and she doesn’t because there is barely any good songs with her. The only thing she sells today is $35,000 tickets to raise money for Marxist politicians.

For singing at the MGM in LV long ago one of her contractual stipulations was that they put ROSE PETALS in her toilet water and replace them after each use.
They had small guage pipes and she made them CHANGE THE PIPES in order to honor the rose petal condition —it was a deal breaker...!
