SEATTLE (AP) — President Barack Obama offered a rare self-assessment Sunday night while criticizing congressional Republicans as an “impediment” to governing during the start of a West Coast fundraising tour for the Democratic Party.
He also attempted to contrast himself with Republicans who control the House of Representatives, saying they are “more focused on positioning themselves for the next election.”
“I’m not a particularly ideological person,” Obama said, somewhat echoing a statement he made earlier this month during a speech campaigning for then-candidate for Virginia governor, Terry McAuliffe (“There are very real consequences when you operate ideologically, the way some of these folks do,” he said Nov. 3, pointing to the Tea Party).
Obama added Sunday that while he’s still passionate about giving people a fair shake, about the environment, and working for peace and national security, he’s also “pretty pragmatic about how we get there.”
Money, star power and Hollywood awaited the president on this trip, which featured a bit of official business, but mostly fundraising for a Democratic Party eager to go on offense after a politically debilitating two months.

I never believed that ann dunham was his mother OR that he was born in 1961. I always thought he was a couple of years older and that dunham took him from a poor kenyan family to the US to rear him as her own.

The Holy Roman Empire is once again rising, so what does obama do? He decides to remove our embassy FROM the Vatican. Not a word about the hundreds or thousands of Christians being enslaved or slaughtered by muslims.
His affiliations with the mb, al qaeda, hezbullah, hamas, and the taliban show us daily where his loyalties lie. Not a word about threats of annihilation of the Jews.
And his CHOSEN armies are on either shore financed by him, armed by him, and they all hate us...all of them including him.
His war against G-d is openly visible and those who don’t see it are blind. They follow blindly.
what charity is he fundraising for (other than AlQuaida or the Muslim Brotherhood, of course)?

Any reporter willing to give a true account of Zer0’s Seattle fundraiser was locked in the closet at the home of former Microsoft executive Jon Shirley. Accompanied by House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, the dinner raised $32,400 per couple. At that dinner Zer0 said the country needs Pelosi to be House speaker again. What else was said must have made those $32,400 contributors feel they spent their money well. Perhaps is just part of the cronyism that infects politics and they do not give a rat what he says.
Afterwards, Zer0 went to the home of Tom Campion, co-founder of the clothing chain Zumiez. Unlike the dinner at the Shirley house, reporters were not permitted into the campaign fundraiser.
The timing of Zer0’s travel did not sit well with Seattle rush hour travelers Friday. Tomorrow (Monday) Zer0 will again disrupt both Seattle’s evening rush hour and Los Angeles’ rush hour. Those in Los Angeles are calling it “Obamajam.”

That what I keep wondering. Why is he still fundraising? I read somewhere that the DNC was having a lot of trouble raising money, because he is taking a majority of their would be donations.
BTW: I really do not remember President Bush really ever going to fundraisers especially in his second term.

Naturally Obama doesn’t consider himself as operating
ideologically because he never suffers the consequences
of his ideology.
And at every wedding, when it comes time for the groom to kiss the bride, he has to be restrained from saying, “No! Kiss me instead.”
