These days the word is particularly toxic at the White House, where it has been hidden away to make the Affordable Care Act more palatable to the public and less a target for Republicans, who have long accused Democrats of seeking “socialized medicine.” But the redistribution of wealth has always been a central feature of the law and lies at the heart of the insurance market disruptions driving political attacks this fall.

No, it’s not redistribution. It’s simply making my affordable insurance illegal and replacing it with a crap policy I don’t need for 3-4 times higher than I currently pay, in order to pay for or heavily subsidize Demonic Party parasites’ policies. But, it’s not redistribution.

B/c assets, perhaps a home owned free and clear, securities, annuities, investment property, can be seized to pay for govt treatment......thus intergenerational transfers of wealth (long one of the progressive bugaboos)----are decimated.

The infamous "Death Panels---are alive and well----but they're not called death panels......for obvious reasons.
The treacherous Obama euphemistically calls his death panel "I-PAB----Individual Payment Advisory Board."

THE FORWARD PLAN Obamacare "allows" states to expand their Medicaid recipients pool. Washington now covers about 1/2 the cost of today's pre-Obamacare Medicaid enrollees.
GIMME THAT AGAIN? For the first three years, the feds pay 100 percent of the freight for new enrollees. Later federal payouts would "shrink" to 90 percent.
The feds "say"---It's a bundle of money -- worth nearly $1 trillion over 10 years to the states.

Im sick and tired of this administrations misuse of the word “investment”. Its not investment. Government doesnt invest. It spends.
Grrrr…that "fair shot" bull crap makes me red with rage. Everybody has a fair shot at "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" under our great Constitution. You don't get a "fair shot" by taxing one part of the nation to death for the benefit of slackers, leeches, and parasites. That communist doublespeak (actually, newspeak derived from doublethink) infuriates me.
The New York Times, explaining to the stupid people why certain words cannot be spoken, why certain words cannot be allowed to mean what they mean. And, why their government must lie to them. All because what would happen to all of these wonderful socialist programs if the people learn the truth. If stupid people learn the truth, they will turn against their political masters and that cannot be allowed to happen.
This is only the ‘signup’ and ‘payment’ part. Wait until they get to the actual ‘care’ part.
It will become known as ZEROCARE then.
