Iran has reached an agreement with world powers over its nuclear activities.
In a televised address, the Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani, welcomed the deal, saying the country had the right to continue its uranium enrichment programme.

It is a sea change. The lifting of sanctions and the recognition of Iran's nuclear program (peaceful or otherwise) will set off a chain of events in the region and the world. There will be other countries pursuing nuclear programs in response to Iran's. They will pursue them now because the US appears to be the "weak horse" who will not stop Iran's inevitable pursuit of a nuclear weapon. Containment is the new policy.
And Israel may now be forced to respond due to the vacuum created by Obama's deal at any cost. Israel can no longer trust the US. The secret year long negotiations with the Iranians were not shared with Israel and a number of our allies.
As Joe Biden once said about something else, "This is a big f**king deal."
I was wondering what was America’s interest in this deal. How does it insure our security? I know some Iranians here in the US. They all tell me the people running Iran are nutjobs.
This is just the administration doing anything to change the news cycle from “all Obamacare Fail, all the time” to anything else. God help us. God help Israel.
Got it in one. Pun not intended, but Iran will start a chain reaction. Other rogue nations will be encouraged to at least make a go of it, at least a couple will succeed, and there will be a roaring black market trade in things that were formerly classed as “not even I’m gonna smuggle that stuff” among the criminal element.
It’s not at all unlike letting a disobedient child ultimately go unpunished after a long ‘talk’: the ultimate ‘lesson’ is that the brat can get away with his misdeeds if he can sit down and endure you making noise for long enough.
Actually, that analogy is especially apt since these heathen head-choppers have the mentality of a psychotic toddler crossed with a gangbanger...just with way more deadly toys to play with.

Sanctions? Enforced just how? How do we inspect every square foot of Iran? Impossible.
If anything, I’m thinking maybe it takes some of the fun out of it for the Slammies. They like to be sneaky. Waging war in the open is not their style unless forced to. OK, now they will build their bomb in plain sight.

spot on. any state can hide research of that type. I have always maintained that was one of the reasons we went to war with Iraq, it takes a state to develop the bomb.
