SAN ANTONIO -- Officer Jackie Neal, 40, was in full uniform, in a marked squad car and on-duty when he made a traffic stop Friday morning and sexually assaulted a 19-year-old woman, according to the San Antonio Police Department. Neal was taken into custody by SAPD Special Victims' Unit detectives after police officers pulled him over on the south side around 2 a.m. Saturday, according to a statement issued by the department. Neal was arrested on a warrant for sexual assault, a second-degree felony.
"This conduct is unthinkable and I'm absolutely outraged," San Antonio police chief, William McManus said in a statement issued by the department. "Once we became aware of the allegation, we took prompt action."
Neal is an 11-year veteran with SAPD and works the overnight shift on South Patrol. He was hired in October 2001, according to The Texas Tribune. Officer Neal has been placed on administrative leave, according to department protocol. He was released from custody Saturday at 7:25 a.m., according to the Bexar County Magistrate's website. Neal was suspended back in September, according to an agenda for the San Antonio Police and Firefighter Civil Service Commission. KENS 5 requested information regarding the suspension in mid-September; however, the department has yet to release any details on the incident.
"A high standard of conduct is a priority of the S.A.P.D. I praise the victim for having the courage to come forward and having the confidence in the S.A.P.D. to handle the case effectively," McManus added.
hey the instrumentals and lyrics are really great!
The wolf kid is standing in the ZOT corner with his dunce hat on.....again. Who knows if he will return?
If you had some idea how a shoestring budget could find a better singer, I’m all ears. Ronnie did the arrangement and most instrumentals, and the recording here. (I do a few instrumentals.) Still we realize the best thing would be to get the attention of a professional publisher who will then get a good artist and a million dollar studio behind it. I’m beginning to submit things to BMI now, to which I belong (it’s free) for possible referral to publishers if they think it’s good. Ronnie is ASCAP.
You are bout to catch it from the cops can do no wrong crowd here. They will call you a cop hater ...and ... I guess that the sky is the limit. But you are in for it.
If and when he howls... I will jump on him with my gospel boots.
I have no idea. Toby Keith lives just down the road from me, but he doesn’t take visitors.
Iv’e been catching it for years.
But fewer and fewer of those around these days. But I do miss Trailerparkbadass the most
Wonder if you could stick a copy of our Rednecks Built America album in his mail box :-). I’d even mail it to you for that purpose :-)
Well, we’ve lost a lot of our moral clarity here in the US. That’s why the outrages, as viewed on the earthly level. Sin, what’s sin? (Which is the obverse of “What’s righteousness?”)
I can try. But I bet his mailbox is full of that kind of stuff.
I imagine it is, and the better way is to let someone like BMI and a publisher suggest it. BMI is the 800 ton gorilla of country.
Ronnie and I did get to speak with George Jones before he shuffled off this mortal coil, however. We just went close to his farm’s gate and gawked. Then he and his wife drove out, apparently having seen us on camera. We said hello and asked permission to take a photo which was granted.
And then I lost the silly camera, argh.
the only time I have seen him in person was after the tornado’s here in May
Glad to hear that he’s making progress.
Yeah... being famous doesn’t obviate human nature. We’re all still mortal, still sinners needing salvation, still subject to that summons any time God wants to the regions immortal. What you mean in heaven is going to be the only thing that matters in the long run. (Hell will be a constant laughing stock for heaven. God is not being mean to the people in hell. They are being mean to themselves.)
Nobody’s perfect.
And that’s why it seems that doers of wicked deeds so often seem to get away with it here. God would sooner pardon that person than lose him to hell. Those who suffered on that person’s account will likewise receive positive rewards, if they are saved from sin. But the pardon has to be accepted. If it is refused there is no hope for that person except to become the eternal mockery which is an occupant of hell, suffering a penalty which is all their own fault and even worse because they spurned salvation.
It’s a whole different world view than our selfish worldly one. We want a God that is both merciful and just, we got one. But we also get everything that goes along with Him. We can’t take bits and pieces of God on the cafeteria plan.
My vote is hanging.
R ... maybe for rogue? Why not P for perv?
Better yet, let’s get serious as a whole country about salvation.
The ‘unthinkable’ has seemed more and more thinkable of late. So those on police payroll and their unthinking supporters must not be paying attention.
Sum it up:
Mercy for me, Justice for you.
