They can now be covered for maternity care and free birth control. That is far more important.

Computers lose information all the time. The insurance company’s programmers should be able to figure out how their code caused this glitch and fix it. Pronto.

“The Alford’s are in a battle with children’s medicaid — or CHIP — Hunter’s insurance.”

For what it’s worth, Obamacare did not affect CHIP plans. This sound more like a typical bureaucratic screw-up than an Obamacare cancellation.

There was a time when Canadians with rare diseases would seek out help in the U.S. I wonder how much longer that will continue—if fewer and fewer doctors are aware of-have experience with such diseases, people won’t make it.

But their new policy will be better as you know their policy was cancelled because it was a crappy policy so they should be grateful to O and the democrats cause they made it happen.

Actually they are better off than if they bought a policy on the exchange. Many of those policies wouldn't provide any coverage since the specialty hospitals that save children with terrible diseases aren't in their networks. At least if they can get their CHIP reinstated they have a chance.

Who would have even dreamed that President Obama's and the Democrat's idea of improving healthcare was to deny really sick children the care they need to beat cancer and live to adulthood? Even the people who warned about "death panels" never thought that same philosophy would be applied to kids with cancer.

We need a new, non-profit organization formed to pay to have poor souls like these maintain a 24x7 vigil in front of the White House starting 1/1/2014.

That’ll get KommieKare repealed faster than anything else.

There will be hundreds and maybe thousands and maybe even tens of thousands of such folks being killed by KommieKare towards the end of January.

They should contact Senators and Reps, Rep Burgess is an MD but don’t think his district extends to Gainesville.

first of all let’s look into why a few ounces of chemicals injected into a child would cost anyone $50,000 dollars....that entire concept is asinine.....but because insurance companies have paid it over the years, it has become the norm......I would bet a whole lot of money that there isn’t more than $100 dollars worth of product involved and other than the salaries of the doctor and nurses and the hospital room, $50,000 is an outrageous amount of money to be charged for a somewhat routine proceedure...

“Since his insurance was dropped, we’re thinking about cancelling his chemotherapy,”

Ah no....you continue to give him the treatments and let the bills pile up if you have to. You don’t quit the treatments.

I’m also curious what kind of cancer are you “born with”....and why that is? Will check the article further...might explain.

I just sent this to Sen. Cruz via his website:

Dear Senator Cruz,

I am writing to pass on a story that touches my heart and needs a champion like you to get the message out and to use your influence to help make a difference in some children’s lives.

Now, I do not know this family personally, but reading their story touched my heart and we Texans stand with each other, so I thought I might help by raising it to your attention.

The Alford family of Gainsville Texas have two young kids with a rare form of cancer. With all the turmoil Obamacare is causing in the marketplace, their coverage was dropped.

They are now in a life and death struggle to get things fixed in an overwhelmed healthcare system thrown into chaos by the moving target that Obamacare has become to meet the political ends of the Democrat Party.

Here is a link to their story:

http://www.kxii.com/news/headlines/Gainesville-family-fights-for-childrens-lives-after-insurance-cancelled-232923131.html?device=phone&device=tablet

I am sure that anything you could do to assist them would mean the world to this family.

God bless you and keep up the good fight for us Texans, and the rest of this Nation.

Thank you for your time in this matter,

And the Dems would complain about Republicans “killing” various classes of citizens.

A must read. These children have a rare type of cancer. Their insurance has been dropped, thanks to the ACA.
