The shocking revelation was revealed in court documents released Friday. Other horrific details in the murder of 24-year-old Colleen Ritzer include that her alleged killer brought a box cutter, mask, gloves and several changes of clothing to Danvers High School on the day of the crime.
A note found near the brutalized body of a beloved Massachusetts teacher who police said was raped and killed by one of her students read, “I hate you all.”

Philip Chism, the 14-year-old accused killer, came to Danvers High School on Oct. 22 equipped to kill, the papers showed. He allegedly brought a box cutter, mask, gloves and several changes of clothing.
But Chism apparently didn’t account for the surveillance video cameras, which caught him putting on gloves and a hood as he followed the unsuspecting teacher to a second-floor bathroom.

Suppose biology rules behavior a lot more than we care to admit. In a more unrestricted state of nature, groups rapidly cull this type of behavior constantly, keeping it rare and unknown to the species.
Abandon that process, begin to eliminate the selective effects which eliminated that antisocial nature anytime it arose, and it is only common sense all sorts of unusual behaviors will begin to rear their ugly heads.
I’d bet, go back through this kid’s family tree, and you’ll find relatives who would have quietly disappeared centuries ago, and nobody from their group/town/family would have cared to punish the disappearers, and they probably would have patted them on the back had the disappearing come to light. Of course in that scheme, this kid would never have been born, because these genes would have been removed before they became a real problem.
The most amazing thing is how lack of what we call civiization evolved man by force into a kindly and civilized creature, while the too tight embrace of civility devolves man right back into a cruel beast.
Not sure there is any answer to the issue there. Just an observation.

In our little Southern town, they used to hang the criminals on the weekends in the afternoon. The dates were advertised so the people used to bring a lunch, sit on the hill next to the courthouse, and watch the hangings. They were great object lessons on "the wages of sin", so the parents always brought the kids to watch.
I think it would be a great tradition to resurrect.
It’s ironic that here in the 21st century we now have public schools and medical confidentiality laws to help ensure that the kind of people we herded onto Indian reservations 150 years ago will mingle with normal, decent human beings without any constraints at all.

As I said, he should already have been hung. There is no doubt he did it, and that he planned it. Such vile crimes and murder deserve the death penalty, swift and sure.
