While the Senate majority leader is blowing up his institution, House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) held an interesting press conference, giving some broad hints as to where that body is going.
First, Boehner suggested that the House isn

USA, R.I.P.
The house looks like it will do exactly the OPPOSITE of what it should be doing, in light of the Sinate.
What the house should do is not pass one single piece of legislation. Nada. From here till Sinate control is yanked out of Hairy Reed’s (sicKo) hands.
Well, Boner is signing up for Obamacare...
We are witness to the essential nullification of the power of the House, with their permission.
Likewise, because the Senate merely carries out WH and Jarrett/0bama orders, we see the last days of the Roman Senate. These people are doing what they are told.
So what if the American people don’t like what’s going on? With the flood of judicial Leftists coming on strong as judges, Jarrett/0bama will simply FORCE results they want, making the Judicial branch take marching orders, too.
We’re through.
"The house looks like it will do exactly the OPPOSITE of what it should be doing, in light of the Sinate."
Yep. If you don't take a fierce stand against what happened yesterday, it's only going to embolden the totalitarians. Bullies will always keep punching away until somebody punches back.
If I were Speaker of the House, I would introduce a budget directive:
Any judge who receives less than 60 confirmation votes in the Senate will receive 10% of the salary paid to other judges.
Worse, he knows he has less than a year remaining with the Senate in his control. We thought Fast and Furious was about guns and the border, but look for a year of fast and furious challenges to our way of life.
Collecting their pay and perks as usual. Thieves!
* House NOT pass a bill till Senate goes back to GOP hands
* Judge that didn’t get 60 votes gets paid 10% salary of other judges.
Both excellent ideas. Why in the world if YOU two can think of simple solutions to Reid’s power grab, why won’t GOP do anything?
Is it that they WANT the Dems to have all the power, NSA info more damning than Hillary’s 900 FBI files?
Not quite. We still have Article V.:
from Convention of States (http://conventionofstates.com/article-v)
The Founders knew the federal government might one day become drunk with the abuses of power. The most important check to this power is Article V. Article V gives states the power to call a convention for the purpose of proposing amendments to the Constitution.
By calling a convention of the states, we can stop the federal spending and debt spree, the power grabs of the federal courts, and other misuses of federal power. The current situation is precisely what the Founders feared, and they gave us a solution we have a duty to use.
After the states propose, debate, and vote upon the proposed amendments, they will be sent to the 50 state legislatures for ratification. Three-quarters of the states must agree for any of the proposed amendments to be ratified.
Article V. ping!
He will sign up for it and then use his own Walter Reed health care.
Today’s US Senate controllers are using KGB tactics.
Time to go back to our Constitution and then get some heads rolling.
Until 1913, power was divided vertically, between the states and DC. This vertical separation of power represented in a senate of the states ensured the federal government would not wander outside of its enumerated powers.
The 17th amendment GUARANTEED all power would drift upward into DC. Recent events prove this.
If one believes the 17th must go, then an Article V amendment convention is an absolute necessity. There is no other way.
I like original thinkers and your post certainly qualifies. Well done!
