Wildlife lovers clamoring to bring gray wolves to Colorado may want to pay attention to those wooden outhouse-style structures in rural Catron County, New Mexico. Theyre called kid cages, and theyre built to protect children waiting at school bus stopsfrom wolves.
The wolf issue is an example, especially with the kid cages, about how youre putting the interest of wildlife over the interests of human beings, said filmmaker David Spady. Every American should be concerned about seeing kids in cages and wolves out wandering around freely.
Spadys remarks came during a Tuesday screening of his film, Wolves in Government Clothing, a documentary on the impact of the 1998 wolf reintroduction on those living in the rural West.
The film focuses on rural communities struggling to cope with the economic and safety issues that accompanied the wolves, including livestock depredations, reduced elk and moose herds, and fewer hunting opportunities, not to mention chilling close encounters with wolf packs.

The Fish and Wildlife Service is expected to rule on the wolf proposals sometime after public hearings conclude Dec. 3.

Actually wolves very rarely attack humans, they are so afraid of the human scent I wonder how they were domesticated into dogs in the first place.
As it stands now, there is a huge pushback from the locals to stop this nonsense. We seem to be winning now, but the environazis never give up.
And, yes, if the wolf eventually does get reintroduced into my remote part of the county, I guarantee you I will KILL every wolf on sight I run across.
Then I will shovel.
And then I will shut up.

Uh, Davie-boy, when was the last time that a non-rabid wolf attacked a human, or even a film-maker in the lower 48?
Chances are, it would also be the first - -

“Kid cages”???
That’s disgusting. How about some “wolf rifles” instead?
Dad and I have both blasted our share of coyotes ... wolves endangering human life, lifestock or pets deserve the same treatment.
I truly wish you and your fellow Arizonan’s the best in defeating these nuts. We don’t need wolves in the lower 48 nor are they needed for the ecosystem, did just fine without them for many years.
So many that in fact every wolf now has 3 government employees (armed) tracking its movements and the movements of its only effective predator (humans).
Our forebears eradicated wolves for a reason.
The reason is that any interaction between a wolf and an unarmed human or that human's livestock is a meal for a wolf.
“we need wolves why????”
Too speed along the implementation of UN Agenda 21, the depopulation of vast swaths of the American landscape and herd everyone into manageable cities.
You are a useful idiot for somebody.
“And all those images are of winter snow shelters that have been at bus stops for years, which are being re-labeled as kid cages now as a political ploy by anti-wolf people.”
220-221, whatever it takes.
Todays wolves are not yesterdays wolves...nevertheless...they’re all killers by nature.
I'm calling B.S. on that.
+1 for at least one State Wildlife agency for taking the bull by the horns:
Wildlife agents finish job of eliminating wolf pack
Wouldn’t it be simpler than scratching and biting to have a season on predator and prey alike?-and yes, I am a hunter-one who knows the natural world must have a balance so we can all have enough healthy game for food-that is what hunting is for.
That is why there are extra deer tags on your license when the year has been dry and the deer are in poor condition-more need to be harvested to maintain a healthy population, rather than just a big one, because there are not enough natural predators to take out the unhealthy deer.
Anyone who wants the only wildlife around them to be cute little deer and birdies needs to stay in the city-that is unnatural...
I wouldn’t let my kid wait at a deserted bus stop, and that is because of human predators, not animal ones...
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE:
