A new poll shows Democratic U.S. Rep Gary Peters and Republican Terri Lynn Land with the same amount of support in a potential matchup for a seat representing Michigan in the U.S. Senate.
According to the results released Thursday, 39 percent of likely voters polled said they would support Peters and 39 percent said they would back Land if they were matched up in Michigan's 2014 U.S. Senate general election. Twenty-two percent said they were undecided.
The poll was commissioned and released by Lambert, Edwards & Associates. It was conducted by Denno Research.
Candidates will be competing to replace long-term incumbent U.S. Sen. Carl Levin, who is retiring.
Both Land, R-Byron Center, and Peters, D-Bloomfield Township, received 81 percent of his or her partys vote, according to the poll. But 41 percent of independent voters were undecided.
This is the first Senate poll to be released since Land announced she was running for U.S. Senate.

a nice pension and local influence during retirement.
Gary “Salt” Peters is a neo-classical slut.
Old article from August 1st. I would be curious to hear what the post-Obamacare debacle polls show :)
See my post 21.
