Is the Gettysburg Address subject to interpretation?

Depends on which copy of the speech you're working from.

Obama and the Dempcraps aren't real big on God. Why would they be? Believing in a HIGHER order would be incompatible with their own idea of "higher order," that is, MORE taxes to fund our already over-funded, under-worked American do-nothings.
Obama is the quintessential DO NOTHING MYSTIFIER.

If he’s going in that direction he might as well do Lincoln’s speech from “Bill And Ted’s Excellent Adventure.”

Is the Gettysburg Address subject to interpretation?

There are several versions floating around and I heard someone say that Lincoln 'did not actually use the name of God'. Below is what was printed in the Chicago Tribune the next day:

Remember Obama is more likely to be descended from American Slave owners than American Slaves

From my perspective, the "fake controversy" isn't about the Gettysburg Address being subject to interpretation or not.

It's that Obama conveniently chooses to (or is told to) recite one of the two draft versions that lack "under God" rather than the three post-speech versions that have it.

So the controversy is "fake" in the sense that it is a deliberate provocation designed to generate petty controversy distract from the big news of the day. Like HealthCare.gov essentially being wire-framed vaporware.

Which is also why Obama didn't go to Gettysburg. There's more political advantage to him taking hits from not going than there would be in going and taking hits on the much more serious issues ...

To O’Bummer, God is subject to interpretation.
