Washington DC talk show host Chris Plante reported today that Barack Obama omitted the words "under God" from the Gettysburg Address when reciting the great speech for a Ken Burns documentary.
Burns had filmed all living presidents as well as various Hollywood personalities and luminaries to pay homage to the speech which was delivered by Abraham Lincoln 150 years ago, today.
Plante broke the story on Washington DC talk radio station WMAL on his mid-morning program, "The Chris Plante Show."

This shouldn’t surprise anyone since he refused to put his hand over his heart for the National Anthem, and refused to wear a U.S. flag pin while running for President in 2008. He probably can’t even recite the Pledge of Allegiance with reading it from a teleprompter.
I can’t stand to listen to him nor even look at him. In Australia where I work he’s a laughing stock. Some people ask if it’s okay to slam him and I say, yeah, go right ahead.

If even the Slimes quotes Lincoln as saying 'under God', Lincoln must have said it! 0.00 is trying to sanitize 'God' out of everything!

4/16/2009 – Before delivering a policy speech in Gaston Hall at Georgetown University (Georgetown was founded in 1789 and is the oldest Catholic university in the U.S. It is a private, Jesuit, research university whose main campus is in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C.), POTUS #44 BHO ordered that a monogram symbolizing Jesus' name behind the lectern be covered. (IHS christogram - a monogram of the Holy Name derived from the Greek word IHSOUS (ΙΗΣΟΥΣ) for Jesus, or referring to Iesus Hominum Salvator, Jesus savior of mankind). As it turned out, the usual movable drapery barriers were not tall enough to hide the cross and IHS emblem. So the school agreed to cloak the entire wall structure with the religious symbols.

85 PBS states that they asked president Obama to read the first version (the Nicolay version). I haven’t listened through all the other renditions but it appears that the other three presidents who were asked to read the address all used one of the latter versions, containing “a nation under God”. Why this is so, whether it really was PBS who gave Obama that version, or if it was the WH who decided which version to use can always be open to discussion.

No problem. One day, and it can’t come soon enough, God will remove obama from the planet.
You know what? It really doesn’t matter why he did it.
What matters is that he DID IT! He recited a commonly known and reverently regarded historical speech, and didn’t recite it as it is known. He edited it. He changed an important phrase of the speech, omitting words that matter to nearly all Americans. He committed political sacrilege.
Doesn’t matter why, how, etc. All that matters is that he did this. Purposely.
It is a spit in the face of all decent Americans, living and dead, and our shared history. And it was meant that way. Be assured: it was meant that way.
He is a national disgrace. It will take years to recover from this one-man blight on our country.
Why would he? It's something you learn as a child in America. Zero didn't set foot on the US mainland until the age of majority. What he remembers from his childhood is the call of the muezzin - the "most beautiful sound in the world."
I think (hopefully), that with all the bad ObamaCare press, his bad standing in the polls, etc., we'll be seeing less and less of this loser in the future. I truly believe he's afraid to speak in public anymore for fear of being harassed and heckled. The guy's a chicken-$hit. About the only place he'll feel comfortable is at a fundraiser with his fellow socialists.
P.S. Drudge has a link to a story that reports the Dems have cut in half, the cost to attend a fundraiser featuring Obama in California next week. Maybe his liberal friends are even getting tired of his crap.
Let's hope God does the same to him...............

UPDATE: A text box now appears on the Ken Burns website www.learntheaddress.org which states: "Did you know there are five versions of the Gettysburg Address? We asked President Obama to read the first, the Nicolay Version." A cached version of the same webpage from several days ago shows no such reference.

We may be on similar wavelengths, though we have to be careful about the insights. Too much of this stuff and it will look crazy to outsiders.
I think the broad picture is this: Obama is allergic to the real God. And he is showing it. God is a litmus test that Obama fails, fails, fails. Sometimes very weak Christians can have such problems from time to time. But the problems don’t often keep up this consistently. His idea of Jesus is very likely as the hateful revolutionary of the Wright church (which is a wrong church).
Incidentally, such coincidences would be what I would liken to demonic graffiti. Of course God can mark up a situation too. And when He blesses, His marks can be profuse.
And yes, in this gospel age, we should still be praying “God bless America.” Blessing does not mean approving of where someone is. Blessing can mean moving him on to where he needs to be. (For example, Barack Obama, if he won’t stop this God hating nonsense, would be a great street sweeper.) It doesn’t make God happy to damn America. He gets no joy out of it, and He wants the joy so bad He went to a cross to get it! But God will still let America damn itself if it is adamant about it.
