As more bad poll numbers continue to pour in for President Barack Obama, a new survey finds that if the 2012 election matchup were held this month, Mitt Romney would hold the edge with the voters.
Romney topped Obama 49 percent to 45 percent among registered voters in the Washington Post-ABC News poll released Tuesday. Among all Americans, the 2012 rivals would be tied, at 47 percent.

So it looks like it’s turning out that it was a blessing in disguise that he lost. It does seem as if the progressive agenda has been set back for a generation. Maybe not, but it’s beginning to look that way.
The price that America has paid to get to this point is horrific and tragic. I hope we can survive it.
But still, I think the result of the Obamacare fiasco is that Obama, the Democrats, the left and big government will be radioactive for a long time.
It’s hard to imaging anything else but such a catastrophe that could have awakened America and created support to change the direction of the “ship of state.”
Just hope it’s not too late, and that we don’t end up at the bottom of the ocean.
Agreed!
I forgot the details of what Romney was claiming as 2012 was pretty painful to watch.
Because in 2012 Obama rolled out a bunch of popular freebees : Pre-existing conditions funding, birth control, kids on insurance till 26 and no unpopular ones, and still standing was the promise of insuring 15 million uninsured at no cost to the rest of us. That all sounded pretty good to voters.
So Romney kept getting asked by media : How will you insured the uninsured? What is your plan?
No way to compete with Obama fantasy promise.
So Romney made something weak sounding up.
and an actual CONSERVATIVE (ie not RINO Romney) would have beaten Obama when it mattered - last November.
The article says it is a poll of registered voters, not simply adults who can be unregistered.
But, as many here argued, the re-election of "Obama" may actually be printing us closer to revival than a Romney presidency would have done.
What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. The patient is still very sick, but some signs of life are beginning to appear.
That assumes I would vote for Romney again. Today I would write in Ted Cruz...
I still do not like Mitt.
I’m fairly sure Romney beat Obama last election.
Similar story here. To be sure, I had my misgivings about Romney's conservatism, and rightly so. But I was encouraged that he didn't "etch-a-sketch" after securing the nomination, but instead, he continued to campaign on a conservative platform. I was encouraged when he picked Paul Ryan as his running mate; Ryan was my top choice also. I was encouraged when Romney won the first debate against Obozo. Things were looking up. I had a Romney-Ryan bumper sticker on my car; I had a Romney-Ryan yard sign on my lawn. So I too was disappointed when the miserable sack o' sh*t Obozo was re-elected. Romney would certainly be better. Anyone would be better.

Perhaps. We'll see. The ObamaCare debacle should help pull down the Demoncrats. The 2014 midterms will be an indicator.
Romney talking about 50 little 0cares was very recent, though. Just in the past week or two...
Romney recently said he is for path to citizenship after beating up Perry and others while playing border hawk in 2012 primaries, just to win.
I recall posting here that he was lying at the time,
He got to 2012 general election and didnt know what to say.
You’re right. I read the last paragraph that just said adults, the earlier part of the article does say registered voters.
Well that’s a new one on me.
And his own lousy campaign is to blame
Or if Romney wasn’t a milquetoast candidate.
The flaming wreckage of Obama's second term, however, gives me a sliver of hope that 2014 and perhaps 2016, will bring some electoral good news.
“He would have beaten him during the election too if it hadnt been rigged”
Agree!! And, if the Republicans would have had the courage to challenge the nationwide incidents of fraud.
