Pakistans government plans to put former President Pervez Musharraf on trial for treason for declaring a state of emergency and suspending the constitution while in power It's a shame the United States won't do the same to the traitor who has systematically violated our Bill of rights for the past five years.

This is just so wrong....He kept that stupid country together for much longer than predicted. But it’s a Muslim country...it’s what they do....kill...eliminate...just like Hitler.

The United States does not try people for Treason.
We make them successful movie stars and confirm them as Secretary of State.

So far the have “arrested” Musharraf a few times; meaning they've asked him nicely to stay in his heavily fortified compound with his regiment of bodyguards. What ever civilian government official would try and order his actual incarceration would be signing their own resignation or worse.
Since Pakistan's military controls the economy I've no doubt that Musharraf still holds many more strings than the people with official government titles.
Once we leave Afghanistan and the gravy train dries up a civilian government has almost no chance for survival. They'll be Islamist or military ruled in less than a year.
