“PS Law enforcement isn’t listed in the 10 Most Dangerous Occupations, either.”

And this has what to do with the topic?

I am sick and tired of the airport mess and we have stopped flying altogether.

So have I -- and I love flying. Haven't been on a plane in eight years.

And I will never step on a plane again unless it's a true emergency for a family member or the security theater is dramatically reduced.

“All they knew was their portion of the incident. They got a patient with no vital signs, “

Exactly. They don’t make assumptions based on what someone non-medically trained tells them. They use incidents eye witnesses to help them zero in but they don’t assume death until all avenues of medicine have been tried. I can’t recall how many times I’ve heard doctors and nurses say, “Man, I thought he was a goner!” One lady was worked on for 6 hours. She lives today just fine, no consequences.

its about the same here. i think our last plane flight was 6 or 8 years ago.
and we have a TON of frequent flyer miles (that we can now not use, except if we should desire 699 subscriptions to Good Housekeeping magazine or some such)

they are bragging about a new system where you pay them for an advance approval, but when you read the fine print it still says they can grope you anytime they want, approximately. they let you keep your shoes on and your computer in your case. i am quite willing to remove those items, I just don’t want to be xrayed, per doctors, or groped, per myself.

life is pretty nice here on the ground, however....

may as well enjoy this effective travel ban

and be happy!

LEO’s paid for high risk but do not take any risks are like edumacators in the Pooblik Skrewl Collective who cash their checks but don’t educate and know full well they can’t.

Improper enrichment is a term lawyers use in such cases, IIRC.

At least they’re working-—they could be collecting and letting the taxpayer cover it all.

“I’m no fan of the TSA, but for goodness sake show a little respect for the dead.”

Get real. These people are the enemy. They are the USA Gestapo in training. They are the stasi. I have zero sympathy for any of them or their masters. What does “show a little respoect for the dead mean”? Does it mean show a little respect for a dead Taliban or a dead child molester?

How about they show a little respect for the American public? Better yet how about we get rid of the TSA like tomorrow.

Yes, I apologize for mounting the old soapbox. While I still disagree, I can understand how someone would be lacking in sympathy considering the manner in which TSA agents treat citizens.

for goodness sake show a little respect for the dead.

Indeed! It is SO much more respectful to anonymously insult, castigate, extuperate, dehumanize, and excoriate them behind their backs before they kick off...and after they're buried; but treat them like a saint inbetween.

Sounds like some of the hypocritical "respect the dead" comments here when Swimmer Kennedy died.
